GTSPEC Strut Tower Group Buy!

You guys can still buy a Stillen STB. Get it while it's still available.

PS there are several members with 2006+ who run a GTspec STB without any problems. I think it's just poor GTspec quality control.
 
So my guess is that it's not the STB pushing on the hood as much as some other fastening point on the front end getting extra torque because of the added rigidness. Might spend some more time investigating before removing.
 
Just so you guys know, my Stillen hits. On the passenger side, right at the little bend. It rubs on the hood liner, not a lot, but it definitely touches. I don't think it's GT Spec, I think that the strut towers are really close to the hood.
 
Justin, let me know what you find/come up with. I took mine off and bate how it drives now, but that horrid sound is gone so I'm dealing with it.

Will do, I might setup some time with HA to have an expert ear on hand.
 
I not an expert, but will definitely wanted to hear this noise and see if we can pin point where it came from. Seems like June 1st will be a good day for it :wink:
 
You live in Russia, can't you order from Summit Racing? GT Spec is just the US distributor for them. And Summit actually seems to keep parts in stock, so no need for GB.

Yes it keeps it in stock, but price for Summit front strut bar is 240 euro for each with shipping and it will take 4-5 weeks to ship them to Russia
 
FWIW I been running the Stillen STB for a few yrs now with no issues in my 06. I have GTSpec for all other braces tho....reason I went with the Stillen was because I was planning to SC and the design of the GTSpec STB will not clear the supercharger, but the Stillen does.
 
I want the front tower bar for Gen2 so bad. :( Prefer the blue and price of the GT Spec over Summit...
