bdl99,..I just bought my 2012 FX and NavMod was my first must do 'upgrade'. I purchased your system and works great after 3 weeks. I like that fact that its reversible. Great product.

Glad you are pleased and thanks for the feedback. Fully reversible is certainly one of the things that we have as a requirement for all of our kits. Actually one of our first Murano customers had his kit installed for 3 years, when he sold the car he removed the kit and sold it used on the forums and got 60% of his money back! $75 for three years of use is pretty good going in my book.

Nice Post!
I finishied it !

Rex9271,... Does your 2012 FX come with aux audio/video connection in center console? If not, how do you play video from ipod/smartphone? I am trying to figure out how to play video from iPhone. ie skype, movies, etc. Any guidance to other posts or mods that make this work for 2012. Thanks in advance.

Here's a thread where we discussed using a media hub to do it. A few members have done this successfully.

that post is for those lucky enough to have the AV plugs in the center console before Infiniti cheapened out on us. There is no way to do it for years 2011.5 and onwards.

The guy in the youtube video did that to his JX35. The first JX was in 2012/13 wasn't it? I figured that the technology would be similar. You guys don't have any type of interface connection that would allow you to stream video to your nav screen?

For those of you who installed the: Remote bypass kit 2010+ from http://www.carkitcompany.com/infiniti-fx35/remote-bypass-kit-2010-12

I just finished the install and having some issues:

1. When i press #1 on the remote i still cannot watch AUX screen while car is moving. In order for it to work i have to press #2 button on remote as well.

2. When i try to do the nav bypass to input address while car is moving. I press #2 on remote and the nav screen just stops. The nav actually does not follow where im going.

Anyone having these issues?

thanks

Anyone else have there odometer stop when they hit the switch? I did the second mod because i thought the camera would be able to be used while driving. Turns out i drove for 2 hours with it before i noticed. I have the new snap on solus edge scanner so i will scan it when i get time to see if the ECU still reads the same as the cluster.

Not sure if anyone is still updating this thread, but I just bought a 2009 FX35 w/o NAV and would like to do this mod. The first post is missing all the pictures though. Any idea where I can get the pictures as the mod seems straight forward enough, but I would love to see the images if possible.

Thanks.

I know I'm bringing this topic back from the dead but I'm finally doing this mod tomorrow and I need to know if I specifically need an on/off switch to interrupt the VSS or can I use a momentary switch that just disrupts the signal for the second that it is depressed then returns the signal when I let it go?

Just did the mod today and all worked out well. Samsung media hub on order so I can mirror my phones screen to nav screen, will post video soon.

Can someone help me here, i have a 12 fx50s with tech and nav, i pulled it all a part, the plug looks different. I was not sure what wires to cut and bailed on it.

Can someone shoot a pic or give me advice?

Thanks

Also, if I already have the 360 view camera mod done by having cut the vss wire in the kick panel, will I still need to cut the vss wire from behind the nav unit in order for the nav hack to work?
