Bubbling Dash Warranty Extension (96 months / Unlimited miles)

Just got the car back. The new dash is more matte than the old one and a tiny bit lighter, but I actually think it matches better. It is more coarse to the touch. As a word of caution to those going in, make sure you check all of your radio and electronics after you get your car back. They have to unplug all of that to take the dash out and in my case, forgot to plug back in my antennae and video switcher. So I had to turn around and wait for them to fix it. Also, the speaker grills don't quite fit right anymore. It's a very minor issue, but the corners on all 3 are slightly crooked. I removed and reinstalled, but they still don't quite sit flush.

Infiniti contacted me again today saying the parts are coming in on Monday and i can bring my car in Tuesday morning, loaning me a G37 sedan and instead of keeping it until i get out of work, told me to keep it till the day after and return it on Wed. when i pick up my car :D

wow i am down the page but still my stomache is turning .....
:0 ---- i just took mine in today and got a g35 loaner... spun it at 8000rpm...

ok just got mine back from the dealer dropped it at 9 they called me at 4 told me it was done!!! as from the above thread when i got my car back i checked whatever i knew to check !!! Guess what they forgot to plug the heated seats switch and w
hen i pressed on it the whole switch went inside fell into the gear box looking thingy... they fix it for me in no time though

Just received mines back it looks way nicer then the old one. More of a flat black or Matte. everything works I made sure before I left dealer.

As has been stated in this thread a few times the dash warranty has been extended to 8 years and unlimited mileage. You should have no problem but call your Infiniti service department first to make sure they are ready for you.

brought my car in today. I had made the appointment last week and an hour and a half after dropping the call off i received a call from them saying he didnt like the replacement dash that they had and were going to order another one, which is keeping my FX there overnight?

It may just be me, but if i was running a business and had a customer coming in for something specific i would make sure that the appropriate "items" for a lack of a better word would be there. Is this something i should be concerned about leaving it with them? or is this something that is common?

Finally had dash problems develop a few weeks ago on my 2003 FX45. No bubbles but almost overnight five crack developed running about 2" - 3" long mostly near speaker corners. Dropped off this morning for replacement under extended warranty and picked up this evening. Looks good overall. Color matches well but matte finish. Shined right up with a quick oil rub. As a previous poster mentioned, had same minor issue with the corner dash speaker not being 100% flush - slightly raised at corners; not a biggie I guess.

Got mine back today after missing it overnight. Slightly paranoid about leaving it there. After riding in the courtesy feels like my fx is not as dropped as it used to feel! any reason as to why they would have adjusted my backseats during the dash install?

I missed my warranty by 2 weeks, (October 11 was the last day) and I had my car in the shop on October 24. They made me pay $499 for costs.

If i could prove I was away overseas during October 11, or prove that I had communication with the service advisor prior to October 11, would I be able to dispute this charge through my credit card?

wow thats messed up that they could not cover when u only missed it by two weeks

I had no idea that this was covered by Infiniti, but took my car in for other warranty work and they spotted the bubbling dash and replaced it for free by the next day. The service rep said that they were covering these if noticed on a car already in for service, but weren't actively going out and notifying people of it. Hope others get the same service from their dealerships!

I just bought my '07 FX35 and noticed a couple small bubbles starting to form when I took it out for a test drive. I worked it out with the dealer to have them replace the dash before I took ownership. It took them a couple days, but everything looks great now. The only exception is that the small circular security LED holder now doesn't fit back into it's place in the dash, it's sticking up slightly. I push that mother down with all of my might, but it won't stay in place...

The security light on the left side of the dash.
