2003 - 2008 FX Lighting Specs (Bulbs)

Jordan - just make sure of the Specs. As far as the Brand I have Mtec and have ZERO issues. The brand is just your personal preference as long as the specs are right for the FX. Have you asked Vinny what his opinions are for this? lol :laugh::laugh:

Are these licence plate lights a direct replacement plug in or do these need a resistor as well?

They're direct replacement. I've been running them for 2 years without problems now..

edit: mine are not autolumination though.. they're superbrightleds.com but they should be the same thing..

Doc, if you please, what is your lighting set up? Fog lights/dtrls/headlights/taillights. Everything looks perfect. Thanks

Doc has 6K Headlights and matching fogs (not 100% sure on the fogs)

FYI, the license plate lights might be a tight fit. The wedge-style LEDs generally stick out more than the bulb it's replacing. You may or may not have issues.

got my license plate lights today from autolumination... it was a tight fit at first like frankiago mentioned... had to jiggle it around before it came on... but after that it's all good... they look great... also got the reverse leds (18 led) and some new DTRL's (matrix 3/36 led)... and some of their superwhite 9006 lights for fogs... hopefully ill have time to put them on tomorrow...

Ps after looking at other posts, some say your fogs need to be 2000 above your headlights to match, and Dr2k looks perfect to me. Im thinking he may have the HID kit for the Fogs, but I want to confirm everything with him. If I can get his look then Im good. Thanks

I have 8K in my headlights and 8k hid fogs and they match pretty well

yo A, just curious...do ur hid fogs give u better width and farther visability?

YES, night and day difference.

think about it this way, we are putting a HID bulb in a non HID housing (no cutoff, no projectors lens), so the light will just come out bright.

Have you ever seen a car with really bright HIDs and upon closer inspection they dont have a projector, just regular HL housing?

but, the difference for us is that the fogs are much lower then regular HLs and will not blind opposing traffic. (thats what I tell myself lol).

all this IMO, I am very happy with my setup and seems like Psiclne and others that have HID fogs are also.. . even 626fx

Here's the new LED. This one is the 9LED superwhite for reverse. And I ended up swaping out the PIAA LEDs for the lisence plate for some others from Autoillum. I just could'nt live with them being slightly different colors.

I thought these were the blue ones so I think I got the wrong ones I put them in today and they are way too blue I'm afraid I'll probably get a ticket running the blue licence lights anyone gotten tickets running the blue LEDs? :sad:Are those the super whites?

i'm pretty sure i have the same ones keemo has from autoillumination. the lisence plates were slightly blue but afterawhile they turned to white with just a TAD bit of blue hue. matches with the reverse and my headlights perfectly.

The ones I bought were the super white. The really look white now and not much blue hue in them. Although there was one bulb that was more blue than the other so I swaped it out since I ordered extras.

bump

so from doc's post he recommended the 36led from auto lumination. However i dont see that one listed anymore. I was wondering if any 7443 bulb will fit in the dtrl and work?

http://autolumination.com/7443_7440.htm

i'm looking at the "3 Watt Superstar Bulbs"

thanks!
