2003 - 2008 FX Lighting Specs (Bulbs)

Guys,

Forgive the Noob here with stupid questions, but what is the difference between the parking light and the DTRL? Or are they the same thing (US vs Canada???) I want to get a "super white" LED for the lights that are toward the center of the are, or closest to the grill. Is this the DTRL? If so, do I need 7440 or 7443?

Any and all help is appreciated. I pick up my 07 FX35 sport/navi tomorrow.

either one would work. but get 7443. yes the closes one to the grill is the DTRL.
 
HID Changed Color

So my 6K light passenger now looks OEM for some reason after warm up. Has anyone run into this? It seems to have the same output but just looks stupid. ..dam.


It now looks a bit redish after warm up... it's toast soon.

i just installed new hid bulbs today

after installing, my right bulb makes a buzzing noise for like 2-3 secs when it is first turned on then stops. is this normal?
 
Yes, buzzing is normal when they first turn on...I beleive it has something to do with the voltage and them warming up.

just wanna make sure b4 buying, all interior lights are de3175/festoons? cuz according to this website

the step/courtesy lights are 168, theres 4 of em i think, not sure if those 2 rear lights near the coat-hangers are courtesy lights or dome/map lights either.

I want to replace all the interior lights in my car and I don't want to break the bank on it considering there are 11 of them. What do you guys think of the "Xenon Super White Festoon Dome Light Bulbs" that are listed last on this page?

They're $1.49 each. The next step up would be the 4-LED ones that cost $3.99 each which is about a buck more than I want to spend on each one so I'm kinda stuck with these ones.

I'm also going to go with "THE WEDGE MATRIX III LED BULB" with 36 LED's for my DTRLs in 7443.

The sylvania lighting list is wrong when it comes to the courtesy lights. Ur best bet is to pop out the lights, and see them for ur self. can't go wrong.
 
I just purchased these and they are not working for DTRL (7440 style). I just pulled out the stock bulb and put these in... Any idea why it's not working? The stock bulbs still work just fine.

you might have to try playing with the connectors on the bulbs. I had to bend mine a little bit

im about to pull the trigger on some fleabay LED for park lights and fog lights and would love some feed back on what matches the stock headlight set up the best? anyone?

i was gonna post a link to what leds i was spying but looks like i dont have nuff post count to link...lol

has anyone changed out the lights at the bottom of the doors? I have an 05 and i bought the 168 bulb thinkin it was the courtesy light... and its slightly smaller then the dome light?
