Had this update done today. There was actually an update for the TCM and ECM according to this TSB. Dealer automatically knew what I was talking about. Here is the invoice:
A review will come later. Lets just say the FX feels like a completely different car now. I'm very happy! And I can finally say its fixed these issues.

Well that's some great news !! Mines currently at the dealer as well for this and something else. Got a 12' G37 as a loaner for the weekend. I honestly think that this one has been updated with the new software because it shifts so much better and throttle response seem pretty quick. Waiting for your update with the FX. I hope this is the final fix :pray:

I went to Infiniti of massapequa. The update took about 40 minutes to do so there was no need for a loaner for me.
Let me first say you can still feel some shifting which is fine as they aren't harsh now. There is still some excessive engine braking but its not is bad as before.
The issue this update REALLY fixed is the hesitation and lag when giving it gas. I was in stop and go traffic on my way back for half an hour and kept slowing down and coming to a stop then speeding up and for once the car responds right away!!!!! The fx actually feels like it has 303 hp now. The car is noticeably quieter too because it no longer bogs down when coasting or trying to make it up a hill. I can actually take over someone in traffic now without worrying for my life if the car responds when im changing lanes. I'm sure the 0-60 times have definitely improved. The car is quick off its feet and doesn't feel sluggish anymore. The harsh downshift when coming to a stop are completely gone too!!

That's good to hear. I'm glad you get better accel with the FX now. I'm kinda amped to see if the 50's update is coming soon now. Fingers crossed.

Dealership doesn't know what they are talking about. My invoice is proof that there is. I even provided the printout of the bulletin from Infiniti.By the way this bulletin is not for 2012 models.

nice! This update definately addressed the throttle response issues and lag that I was talking about.
I also noticed the car sounds soooo much more quieter coasting now.

UPDATE:
300+ miles on this new update and I love it. I finally can enjoy driving my FX in stop and go traffic and not fear for my life when changing lanes. I'm amazed at the throttle response now it feels like a different car.
I recommend everyone to go and get this update done

Only for FX35.....nothing for FX50 yet ;(
Actually only up to 2011 FX35, not 2012 too

I have 2012 and still called the dealer and the moment I told him about the acceleration (even before mentioning this TSB) he said he knows what I am talking about and have asked me to bring in on monday! I know this TSB does not say 2012, but I hoping they could address or atleast check it out and see. Will keep posted for those 2012 owners...If they say they cant fix I guess the only hope is for TSB on 2012 soon to address this.
