No offense but dropped fx's look corny

Why make the fx resemble the audi Q 5 or the ford edge, lol ?!?!?!?!?

The fx (which almost always polarizes people) has it own dsitinct cosmetic look, which distinguishes itself from other crossovers on the market. (for those that lower due to the dreaded wheel gap)

To me, it's gives the fx it's identity.

In this case, a matter of an inch isn't much.

Someone thought they saw me around Dallas and I guess didn't realize that FX wasn't lowered like mine.

...

Are you serious? You think the fender gap is what sets the FX apart from these two???

This thread is starting to get dumb lol.

A lot of high end luxury cars actually have settings that self lower the suspension on the car lol. Lowered cars don't look cheesy, nor take away their luxury status.

i'll pull up my dropped 03 first gen next to any of those rides minus the 2nd gens and get more looks, slightly lowered stance is what makes the vehicle, its either roll with 20's and have a wheel gap or 22's with a wheel gap or 24's and be all up in the air. and that audi is lowered as well because there wheel gaps are like cayennes.

My drop is only about an inch and a half and the wife say's that extra inch and a half makes all the difference :tup:

ok, the stock fx is pretty:

That's a Q7, not the 5. It's all good though, lol.

Compared to the 2nd generation, the first generation fx's look like a mound of clay, as the 2nd gens are what a potter would give shape too, by forming it more in his Godly hands, lol!

Of course, to a fx afficiando, they in no way resemble.

To the casual observer who just takes a cursory glance at the fx/mazada cx-7/Q5/edge/acura rdx/ lexus rx/etc, as they pass by them on the beltway, surely all these crossovers resemble.

If you think that these designers aren't taking cues from each other, as they see that crossovers are sort've the hot niche market at the moment, and are putting their own twist on their models, what more can i tell you.

But i digress, lol. I suppose it'll be more of the dogpiling with the mob mentality huh? lol!

I suppose you're right, in the same way that all sedans look the similar if your vision is blurred enough... That still doesn't explain how lowering the FX makes it look more like a Q5 or Edge, which was your original statement. Rather than digress why don't you elaborate so we can see where you're coming from? In your opinion, is the huge fender gap the FX's distinguishing feature in a sea of lookalike crossovers?

I've always have been a fan of leaving an automobile completely bone stock, it just looks sophisticated that way, imho.

I've never understood the concept of dropping a fx. Is it a cosmetic/comfort thing, a less stiffer, abrasive ride perhaps?

To me though, the dropped fx's seem to lose alot've the characterisitc 'bionic cheetah' look that they've been branded with.

I absolutely adore the 20 inch stock wheel and rims, as it sold me on the fx, especially when they are free of the break dust debris.

Also, while im confessing, 18's on the fx are a no no! *gasp*
Here's the OP. Maybe it's a riddle somehow? :tongue (2):

if you compare cars to women, the stock look is all virginal, prissy & proper, conventional & pure... I guess personally, I prefer my car to be way more slutty than that:tongue (2):
+1
