Yes when I start the season , I strip off the old coatings and clay it well.So Wayne you wash and clay really well and then do the sealant?
Would you say it's better to do sealant 2 times or sealant then wax on top?
I worry about waxing on top of sealant will get rid of the sealant more.
Stu , the Z3 is a sealant for a car with regular paint, no clear coat.Buddy of mine just gave me some Z3 and Z8 he had, I think someone gave it to him and he didn't want it either. Only thing I'm worried about is that the Z3 is less than half full I think, not sure about the Z8. Should be fun to try out though.
Z6 and Z8 are basically the same thing although the Z8 is the more expensive and is supposed to give a better shine than the Z6 but I don't notice much of a difference. IMHO it is better to use the cheaper Z6.Does the Z8 or any of those have wax properties in it?
No it is fine to use, I actually lube my application pad with Z6 when applying the Zaino sealant. Zaino recommends the use of the z6 or 8 with their sealants.I asked because I wasn't sure if like you said how you absolutely cannot put the sealant on top of wax, if the Z6 or Z8 with it's shining products would make the sealant not adhere as much if put on top of it.
And finished my tail lights project. Here is a sneak, more pix in my garage: https://www.infinitiscene.com/searc...t-FX45-2004-Infiniti-FX45?p=438439#post438439
Will write a DIY tomorrow in case anyone is interested

Coolant flush, blacked out rear emblems (will have pictures up tonight, actually used "Carbon Mist" color, looks pretty sick - to me), started gear shifter custom build (also pictures tonight)
The carbon mist color sounds nice. Looking forward to pics, also keep us posted on durability!
