Anybody know what type of steel the exhaust manifold pipe is?
I want to have flanges made to bolt on HFC's.
(or, what kind of welding rod is used on exhaust stock header)

image.webp I got a newb question how do you remove the brake line? My newb ass stripped 80% of the flare nut with a regular wrench  I forgot that I needed a flare nut wrench! My question is which way do you turn it to remove it?

Hey guys.. I was inactive for a while. Lots of stuff going between work, my wife and her doc visits plus getting my son ready for college..

When when checking my aftermarket wheels, I noticed that one of my hubcentric rings is disintegrating. I forgot to take pics. Looking at replacement now. Should I go with aluminum or stick to plastic? I am not sure if the failure was caused by careless re-install of the wheels by the shop or material fatigue. I had new tires mounted a few months ago.

I have heard plastic is better since it does not expand and contract as metals do but seeing how my plastic rings breaking apart, I am not that sure now. Thanks in advance gents..

Hey Ruben, glad to see you on here. Hope things will be more under control for you.

I personally would go with aluminum for durability. My brother in-laws been using my old set of wheels with my old FX35 for years (6-7) years now without any issues. Chris (FX45Chicago) been using plastic ones for years too without any issues too.

Thanks for the fast reply Andy. I think I am finally up to speed now and will have more time to do the things that I really wanted to do. I'd be ordering the aluminum then..

Good to be back to my iS family.
