The Random Question Thread

Open it in paint and save as. Paint is standard on windows 10, I just tested it with a .bmp and it is doable.

Someone bothered to pull it out. Thanks.
Me lazy since I was just in there 6 months ago

Does anyone's ac fans sound like a jet plane is going to take off on a hot day 100* +?

Wifey came home from doing a lot of running around on a very hot day and the fans were extremely loud. I can't remember if they have always been like this, or there's something wrong.

Is it fairly easy to install the rear sway bar on the 1st Gens? I just received my rear sway bar kit today and I'm trying to see if I could tackle this job or I would have to get a quote from the stealership?

Yes, its fairly easy to install it. Just need basic hand tools. Be sure to jack up and remove both rear tires for better access.

Does anybody have pictures of their rear sway bar? I'm having trouble finding the mounting points where each part goes.

Is there any real advantage/disadvantages between and 03 vs 06 FX35? i know this may be a loaded question, but i am looking into both
and would like to purchase by the end of this week. They both have 208,000 kms on the odometer, but there is a $2000 difference between them.
My view on it is that if they are generally the same i could use the cash difference to do some of the high mileage maintenance.
Foolish thinking??

NOT foolish thinking! I went through the same thing 3 years ago. I happened to see more 2003 and 2006 FX's for sale, researching too damn much between each year when the only thing I could see (at the time) different was the dashboard and head unit (2006 looks slicker) so I ended up with a loaded 2005 FX45, which was a better deal than most of the other cars. (missed out on a loaded 2003 black 45) The mileage went between a 2003 with 25,000 miles to a 2006 with over 200,000 miles, and prices went from 5,400 to 26,000. Gook luck in your findings!

Thanks so much for the response and link, im surprised i have never seen that one! I've been looking for almost 8 months and i have "researched" myself out of a few very good deals!
mostly because i was being too picky on what particular ones had/didn't have.

Everyone looks at me like im an absolute idiot for buying a 13yr old car for a daily driver, but with newer cars having some ridiculous problems and the overall generic look that runs from import to domestic vehicles, i figure ill take my chances! i love the look of these things and they seem like they will not "date" in appearances anytime soon. Especially since the style has been ripped off by Audi and Lincoln , the FX still look's fresh to me!

Thanks for the well wishes, once i have one in my possession ill be on here all too much!!

klutch your right in your thinking. Our FX is an 04 with 145,000 miles and people still ask all the time if it's new and can't believe it when we tell them it's 12 years old.
