I’m looking to refresh the interior of my Q70. Don’t get me wrong—I absolutely love the craftsmanship and that "old-school luxury" vibe our cars have—but those factory halogen bulbs are starting to look seriously dated. Every time I unlock the car at night, that dim yellow glow makes it feel more like a 2005 rental than a premium sedan.

Theres a thread like this on g35nyc and thought it was a pretty neat idea... Basically just talking about what we did to our FX's or EX's today as most of us cant seem to stop playing with it, hehe.

Well guess i'll start:
Today, cleaned the k&n cone filter then reoiled it. Worried about overoiling but no CEL so far. Made a big difference, as the filter was extremely dirtyyyyyyy (like completely black)
I've read all that's available on the site regarding shift knob swaps. I found a u-tube vid of a guy installing an aftermarket knob on his g35. From what I gathered, momo & razo were the only two people experimented with but it appears that many knobs will work. The button isn't needed & you can just push down on the knob to shift.
Has anyone installed something other than the above mentioned aftermarket knobs with/without a button successfully? Is the button necessary? It's either a nice...
I was looking at adding this D2S/D2R LED Conversion Kit for Nissan & Infiniti - Plug & Play | Pro S, has anyone else installed this.
Do you have to remove the bumper for Installing it ?
I know with regular non projector housings, the LED bulbs are much brighter.
Is it a better idea( lot less work) to do a HID bulb replacement than the LED upgrade.

So... I never wash my car if it's below about 35 just because as soon as you wash your car, anywhere the water goes freezes up and you increase risk the risk of damaging your car. What I mean by this is locks freezing up and you trying to open it when it might get stuck, trying at some point to open the winter after it being frozen up from the water, parts that may freeze in the under carriage or other pieces, etc.
To be honest, I sometimes wonder what people are thinking when I see it's...

I think I'm going to disable the "intelligent" (stupid) alternator charging system on my 2011 FX50, but I wanted to run it by everyone here in case they have any insight.
The intelligent charging isn't explicitly spelled out anywhere from what I can find, but the general consensus of how it generally operates on other Infinitis/Nissans is that the ECU tells the alternator when and how much to charge, as opposed to letting it just charge all the time, in an effort to improve fuel economy...
