Wipe New (Restore Your Black Bumper Trim)

Figured I would post more pics since I am still really happy with the way this product is holding up. It's amazing IMO that it still shines as much as it does. I will definetly be ordering more to touch up a few spots this summer.

Here is a pic where something has nicked my rear bumper. You can see the difference in shades. The nick looks (ashy) colored because whatever caused it has in a sense chipped away that area. Also, notice the reflection of the flash from my camera phone. By the way the swirl affect in the pic if you look closely is because I wiped away water (I was prepping to wash the car) and the water is still beading up on the Wipe New finish.

Same spot from further back after wiping it completely dry in that area. Again, notice the reflection of the flash from my camera phone.

Rear drivers side wheel well molding. Again, notice the reflection of the flash from my camera phone.

Last pic. If you don't think it's crazy that you can see the reflection of the concrete and the reflection of my water hose to the bottom right of the fog light, I don't know what else to say lol.

The bottle is really small, I mean really small. I was almost pissed off I had to apply so carefully to have enough to make it around the whole car. They advertise the size as enough to do two cars and that's BS. If you do buy it, save yourself a headache and get two bottles and follow the directions carefully so you don't waste it. One wipe in one direction, then move onto another section.

IMO it was worth it though. I never do anything special to my lowers now, they get washed just like the rest of the car and they always look like they have armor all on them.

sort of looks just like when I use the gel tire shine on my plastics. How long does this last? through a carwash?

Wow, that looks amazing. Definitely interested except their website is a piece of sh*t. One bottle is $19.99 yet the only link you can click makes your total order $35.99 with the "bonus detailing kit." What scammers. Not getting this merely out of principle. Nevertheless it does look awesome!

That's what I thought too. It seems like it does the same as applying tire shine to the trim so I'm curious to see if it is really anything different than rebranded generic tire shine. (which is a nice profit at 19.99 a bottle) I may get a bottle just for the hell of it. The salty winter here has been leaving the black plastics a bit grey

I've only applied it once and it's been well over a year!! That's the only reason I'm raving about it. It still looks like I have Armor All or whatever product you use to give it that wet shiny look applied. As far as a car wash I used was going through car washes all winter, and when I have my 24's on I wash by hand (not risking the car wash track wrecking my rims it's bad enough it probably slowly killing my paint). When I wash by hand I scrub the lowers with a microfiber covered sponge and it still looks like this.

I stated all of that in my original post. The claim to throw in a detailing kit which is a glorified qtip and two mini microfiber clothes. What a joke, and the bottle you get is SUPER SMALL, I almost ran out next time I will get two. Iv'e said it all throughout this thread though, it definetly is blatantly one of those "as seen on TV"" rip off's but bottom line is that it actually works. Again if someone knows another product that will give me that Armor All shine for THIS LONG AFTER ONE APPLICATION, please let me know before I order more of this stuff to touch up any scuffs. Even the scuffs are minimal, they have to be extreme like the small one above, the front hasn't been affected by rocks or road debris.

You won't be dissapointed, I'm still amazed, every time I wash my car I'm waiting for it to dull but it hasn't yet.

It really does everything it advertises except for give you a decent amount. The bottle is 3.5 ounces if I'm not mistaken, will double check.

I have been using turtle wax ICE for the plastic. it worked but i don't remember if the shine lasted through rain though.

Well that's the only reason I shared this info because I'm still surprisingly happy with this products longevity. It had already been a long time since I used it when I started this thread so your still looking at the result from my first and only application in any update photos.

I don't know. Using Google I found a video (I think I posted the link in this thread) where they used it on an entire car to restore the paint, but I wouldn't do that. From what I can' tell it leaves a semi-permanent sort of shiny acrylic layer on your bumper, which is why it last so long. So it will only comes off slowly over a long period of time unless the surface suffers a deep scratch like my bumper did in the photo above, basically scratching the bumper so deep it scraped the layer of the product off. I guess if you look at it this way it probably won't be good on your tires because the rubber flexes to much and would crack and peel the finish.

I guess the best way to describe it is like it left something that looks like a clear coat of paint on the bumper trim without the negative affects of having it chip and peel like paint would.
