What went wrong with your FX today?

That sucks mike. Never happened to be with nice wheels but I dread the day

Ouch, that hurts Mike. I have a few on my 24" iForged. One was so bad that the curb actually took a chunk off the side wall. I plan to get it refinished when winter comes!

I heard the dark gunmetal GTRs can't be paint matched for the reason that they don't have a paint code for them. I would just get them powder coated black

Doing some research I found out that k11 is the closest color code to it.. I may get all the wheels done n repaired so its the best match at the end of summer

Is it hot in Baltimore? Mine does this occasionally on hot days. It will seize up when it gets to 25+ degrees, but start working again as soon as it cools off.

The temperature gets to around about 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the day (32 degrees celcius). I wouldn't mind it if it was an occasional issue, but its happening everyday! I just checked a while ago too, and its working perfectly fine!

Yeah, that sounds A LOT like what I was/am experiencing! I 'solved' it by just setting it to my desired position and ignoring it. I am the only driver, so never really an issue for me. If it needs to be adjusted I just wait for a cool day or do it in the garage. You could, if it is a real hassle, open it up and clean/grease the motors inside the mirror. It is not too difficult to do and could result in some seriously improved results. Hope you can get it working for you.

As for my FX, I discovered the cause of a long term, small oil leak under the oil filter. On the driver's side of the oil filter there is a small feeder hose attached with two clamps to the oil cooler assembly. Looks like some mechanic at some point loosened them off (Why you say? Well, I don't really know...) and never put them back properly. A few twists with a screw driver and strategically placed Zip Ties, and no more leak. We shall see how it stands up to some heavy driving, as I will be road tripping this weekend! Anyone else have this problem ever?

Putting on passenger side Akebono caliper and SS lines. Found out my OEM brake line is seized to the hardline. Broke a flare wrench trying to get it off. So hit it with PB blaster and hopefully it will come off tomorrow.

I put SS lines in a few weeks ago. Lemme tell you it made a big difference in the brake pedal feel. Well worth the upgrade. I can only imagine the brake feel with the BBK.

I pinched a wire when reinstalling the door panel during my B-Quiet installation. Popped a fuse so my power seats and steering wheel adjustment weren't working. None of the courtesy lights either. Found the fuse, popped in a spare and am good to go again. Picked up a pack of spare fuses from AutoZone for the future too.

Same here, blow fuse while rewire the footwell led back on after the interior swap. Taillights, side marker, console and radio lights all out. This fuse happen to be on the "third fuse box" by the battery.

I actually took apart the plastics to get to all three fuse boxes...only to finally find out that the blown fuse was in the drivers footwell one all along. :bulgy-eyes:

I blew a fuse once when I was installing my headers (the first time) by shorting the alternator feed line with a box wrench. Took me a couple hours to figure out it was the one on the positive battery terminal lead. I can't remember how much it was but I do remember being shocked at the price. I want to say $60 or something crazy. Ugh.

Note to self: Always disconnect the battery when working on the engine. ;)

Aw man that sucks, good luck with the fix Dwayne. You had the rear aero on there too.
