What went wrong with your FX today?

*sigh* Plugged in a high tech OBD reader, then an engine light came on..
Plugged in my older OBD reader and it comes out with U1000
Looks like I've gotta check/clean my grounds
 
FX just hit 130k. Took it up to Montreal for a little trip. Started it up the other day and heard a louder than normal CLACK CLACK CLACK. It is now sitting at the mechanic in Vermont. Turns out that "cosmetic" lifter tick was actually a valve coming out a 1/4 inch. Looking like an engine swap in the near future. FMLLLL. On a good note, they did get all my windows and door actuators to work! -__-. At least I have beer, a '94 land cruiser, and a boat in VT to drown my sorrows
 
Got a state ref ticket for tampered emissions device (intakes / high flow cats) I went home and changed back to stock cats and I called into court about intakes they said bring Executive Order forms for them. By the time I checked for leaks I was completely tired out. I reset my ECU took it for a drive. I noticed
smoke and smelled burning plastic at first, opened my hood, and I was pissed. Then my brain started to work and then I realized I used WD-40 on the studs. Then it all made sense lol. Anyways I am ready to pass out.

That sucks man. As for me, I got another star rock chip on my passenger side just a little under the size of a penny. I changed the windshield 2 years ago. Well welcome to Houston's infamous I-10.
 
Electric door locks are failing. Weird though, it started with the driver's side door, then affected the front passenger side door and then the hatch. However the back two doors are fine. Also, it is much worse when the car is hot from sitting in the sun. Also, think I need front brakes.

Got exactly the same issues. The locks are failing faster when it's hot outside.

2 years? haha that's nothing man, there are people here where I live that do it every year. City puts sand on the roads instead of salt, and temperature differences between summer and winter and so huge, that a windshield doesn't stand a chance. I have been driving with a cracked windshield for 3 years now, no point in replacing it really. Winter is coming and I know I will get more rock chips and cracks. Until the crack is in my field of vision, windshield stays
 

Does anyone has a remedy on keeping this part from moving or is this normal?

Found grease all over right front wheel, Half shaft boot ripped.
Ordered replacement axle.
It figures I had this all apart recently when I replaced that wheel hub Assy.
 
The front windshield water spray nozzles stop working! I hear the motor activate once I spray the back window but not when I try to spray the front. Is there a fuse that I should check first ?
 
My car has had trouble starting and died on the freeway the other day. Put it in parked, turned the ignition off and back on and it started up. Not sure what the issue is. FX45 w/ 162k miles.
 
Well it wasn't today...but I spin the bottom bearing and had to replace the VK45 with a new, used motor...7k later....

Where your symptoms gradual?
How much of the cost was parts VS install?
Any surprises or tricks learned through the transplant?
