What went wrong with your FX today?

Andy, you're the BEST!

Just pulled and disassembled the pump/sender assembly and found a Walbro GSS342. Ordered a replacement on Amazon Prime for $75. Boom.

Sooooo, I replaced the fuel pump. All was well for a day. Then I drive it through the car wash today and the dash lights come on, the instruments and radio die, and the engine has like 40% power. I get home, shut it off, and now it won't start. Pulled the codes and got U1000, which looks like it could be a bad ground behind the dash. :(

Good times.

lets seee...

- both front wheel hub assemblies, they hum pretty loud at over 40mph. when you turn left they start humming/rubbing like crazy (68k miles, seems kinda young for that, but oh well)

- driver side front coilover is making clunking noise (i suspect top nut is loose again)

- rear brake pads are really low

- front brakes are pulsating

- just did, cabin air failter, K&N air filter, new spark plugs on way

Sorry to hear Tim. Looks like she's fighting back.

Seriously. We've been driving the thing for a year and never once has it had so much as a burned out light bulb.

So I put the thing up for sale, the first guy to show up buys it, but on the way to the bank the fuel pump dies and he backs out.

I fix the pump, drive it around for a couple days before deciding to relist it, and when the second buyer to actually show up is on his way this happens.

Snapped a tie rod - or I should say, the helpful idiot who tried to cross 5 lanes road with traffic coming at him did. I'm in the 2nd to the right lane going 30mph, traffic in the 3 lanes left of me is stopped. I couldn't figure out why until he pops out right in front of me; I swerve and nail the brakes but it's heavy rain so I slide (antilock doesn't work well on slick roads). I almost made it, but unfortunately my drivers side wheel hits the corner of his car while turned. So tie rod snapped, maybe some other stuff bent too. Tire punctured and wheel scuffed up. Didn't even realized it happened until I was trying to pull over and I couldn't turn, just kept plowing forward. Then I saw that my front wheels were pointed in opposite directions.

Now at the shop, we'll see what the damage is. Hopefully the coilover isn't damaged. And I hope my wheel isn't on backorder.

Damm that sux...I hate idiots who drive like that!! Yeah did the cops come and are you gonna get his insurance to pay??

Police were called, and the officer found him at fault for failure to yield. The guy admitted it so it wasn't a big deal. I go this insurance info and have called them to get the claim started. It's just annoying to deal with, interested to see how much suspension was damaged though. Hard to tell visually other than snapped tie rod. Don't know how driveshaft or control arms look.

To make matters more frustrating, first tow truck couldn't take me. It wasn't a flatbed and my FX was too low, especially with the flat tire. So I had to wait another 1.5 hours for flatbed.

Shadow, that sucks big time. Hope the repairs go well for you. At least no one was hurt.

wow sorry to hear that shadow. I'd be worried if the rack was damaged as well, most of the time damages are internal

Broken windshield from a golf ball at the course Monday. Safelite came today to install a new one, done in 45 mins.

Golf balls can unleash hell on a windshield. I've been on both sides of the ball (the hitting of and being hit by) The ball is usually just fine. The windshield never is.
