What other cars did you consider buying before the FX?

Didn't get an FX yet, but I'm considering the FX50S. Looked into a used X5M but man am I afraid of used German cars. God forbid something breaks, it'll break my wallet real good

I'm in the used market. Got my 06 fx45 today. Looked at Toyota FJ Cruisers, Lexus 400h and rx330, murano, Venza, and rogue.

The rogue I laughed at the second I sat in it. More boring then the FJ and that's hard to do. 400h was really nice and quick. 330s were slow and grandma, same thing with the murano. The Venza was actually really nice.

But here we are and happy

IS350 (Couldn't find one with lower miles in the price range I was looking at)
ISF (They haven't come down far enough in price yet :( )
Genesis V8 Sedan (didn't have the reliability marks I wanted to see)

(yes I am picky)

Well, I have 2 kids now so I had to step up to a larger vehicle. I thought about keeping my current truck and getting a Lotus Esprit V8, but obviously that isn't happening just yet.. That would be going a step in the wrong direction.. I was thinking about a Nissan Titan since I love Nissan and need something to tow a boat. The problem is I am a black and white kind of guy. I wanted something fast, but also with some luxury. A sports car to me is sub 2800 lbs and 2 seats. If I can't have that I need the opposite. Like a big 4x4. Wife would get aggravated with either purchase (especially if I got both) so after a year of research I decided on the FX!!! Was or still am driving my Nissan Frontier. I will probably sell the Frontier and still get the Titan if I decide to trailer the boat. I will eventually get my Esprit no matter what, but for now the FX has to keep me happy with it's speed and luxury!

2010 E350. the only reason i got my fx is because i was at the auction waiting for the fx and the e350 to roll out and they are in the same time position to roll out but different line. then there was a problem at the MB line they stop so i have no chose so i go ahead and bid on the fx and got a very good deal out of it

i was looking at a few things actually
2004 325xi
2004 330i
2003 g35
2006 m35
2004 g35 stick shift sedan wouldn't work with me so then i gave up
then i was driving home from work and saw a white infiniti fx35 and drove it and ill be its in my driveway lol

i was looking at alot of cars g35 coupe i came very close to buying, BMW 3 and 5 series, neon srt4 i was interested in and trailblazer ss

I considered every luxury SUV/Crossover on the market, mostly 2009~2012. Out of cost, Cargo room (seats up and down), MPG, torque, HP, weight, towing, and 1/4 mile times, the FX50 was the best compromise. X5M, X6M, Jeep SRT, Porsche Cayman Turbo, Macan, SQ5, ML63, even a Fiesta ST. The only vehicle which had the best of the above elements was the 2010 X5M, but even used, its cost was twice an FX50.

I seriously considered the Forester XT or the Rav4 V6 but I got the FX because the interior is so similar to my G37 coupe.

2007 mdx
2008 x5
2007 jeep srt8

Mdx was high mileage in price range
X5 ehhh jus liked 2010 and newer more but couldnt afford
Srt8 interior is really small And ugly but im not big domestic fan other than srts a bit

If you buy one CPO or w/ extended warranty, you'll be ok. I was afraid of them too, but I bought a used 335 and it's been fine. Annoying little issues but nothing major or expensive and it's a lot of fun to drive. I'm starting to look into X5M's again as an FX replacement. And honestly repairs on my 335i aren't any more expensive than the FX. Parts costs are relatively close and I tend to do my own work. It's the labor on BMW's where they make all the money and charge a premium, especially the dealer.

Didn't get an FX yet, but I'm considering the FX50S. Looked into a used X5M but man am I afraid of used German cars. God forbid something breaks, it'll break my wallet real good

Really liked the X-5... Worried that my budget vs. model would result in reliability exposure...
Really / really liked the small Range Rover... But THAT WAS a budget exposure issue...
The older FX with low mileage seemed to be a good option...
