What other cars did you consider buying before the FX?

Looked at the Audi Q7 but hated the throttle delay. Dangerous when trying to turn left quickly in front of traffic...
 
To be honest, I was looking for something efficient in Gas. In my proffesion and including my commute I drive roughly 24k miles a year. But as I've said on other threads, the reliability of these Japanese vehicles is truly impressive.
 
Looked at the Honda Crosstour before the FX, no comparison. Got in the FX and immediately went online and started searching for the right combination of 'extras'!
 
We've owned a 2004 FX35, 2005 QX56, 2010 QX56, and a 2012 QX56.

We gave a lot of thought to another QX80, but the more we thought about it, the more we came to the realization we did not need something that big.
 
I was looking into the Audi S5 and the BMW X6..
But in the end I decided I rather a larger vehicle and best bang for my buck.. which lead to the FX
 
Always liked the FX and the M's. Looked at MB and BMW then an FX50 became available, got the nod from the wife and it was a no brainer.
 
I always fancied the Mercedes G500, but the price difference wasn't justifiable. I do enjoy my fx even more now though.
 
I was looking to get M45 for that nice V8 kick, but made a very educated decision aka my wife said buy the fx or leave...
