what oil do you put in your fx?

as the topic states, which type of oil do you guys put in your fx?? do you take it to the dealer where they rape you for prices? do you do it yourself?? do you use regular, synthetic, semi-synthetic??
 
First oil change is coming up, I'm planning to use something full synthetic 5W30. Any suggestions on brand?
 
M1 full synthetic 10/30. Sometimes I take it to the dealer, LMS or EZ Lube but always with my own oil.
 
Amsoil XL Full Synthetic 5W-30 w/ Amsoil Ea012 Full Synthetic Media filter.

I do it myself. Great oil, & very very free revving after each change. Deff. recommend this combination.
 
I've been using whatever the dealer uses =(
i dont know much about Oil...what should i be using if i provide my own? will i need two types (one for summer and one for winter) because it goes below 0 in the winter.
 
i heard great things about amsoil and mobil 1 , at around which mileage is good to change the cabin mircofilter?? to get a basic service from the dealer for 50,000 km service they want $530 cdn, i have private mechanics who can do the work but for that price thats riducolous, just to do oil change & filter, ''battery service'', check the belts and replace the cabin microfilter

I believe in the owner's service record manual, it states when all these things should be looked at and replaced. I'll take a peek when I can.

Currently 10W30, change every 3,500-3,750 miles.

ya most diffantly i will get those things taken care of but by a private mechanic, the dealers always rape you with prices

I'm guessing that the cabin micro filter is the 'ventilation air filter' and needs to be replaced every 15000miles?

Yeah thats the cabin filter......No prob Keemo - just trying to help out.
 
another question, the drive belts have to be replaced at 37,000 , 45,000 , & 52,500, 67,500, 75,000 etc etc?? why is that?? it seems pretty pricey so often to be changing drive belts?? any opinons??

I have 51k on mine and i have not changed the timing belt on it at all...
