What is that an '08?

I don't know any cars that are perfect, all in all, the infiniti is a great reliable car that's built well. I think there are some cars out there that would make you wish the biggest problem you had was the problems we have

what would you pick?

Well, I've made up my mind. This will be my first and last Infiniti :err: (this is the proverbial straw )

Sorry to hear that...

I totally agree with turbocad6. Even though I no longer drive an Acura, I'm still heavily active over at acurazine.com (joined in 2001). And the funny thing is... most of the older members like me... no longer drive Acuras, not even the founder(s) of the forum... Most have gone BMW or Infiniti... You would think most of them would be biased in favor of Acura, but many aren't.

Think fading trim is an issue? My 02' TL-S was on it's 3rd tranny... luckily they were all cover'd under warranty. It was such a problem with certain models that they extended the drivetrain warranty to 100k from 60k. The car is still in the family, it's got about 97k miles and in about 3k miles... the warranty's up, hopefully... we won't have any more problems, cuz the next tranny is out of our pocket.

personally, I love my FX... I've only had it since March... but I really really enjoy driving it and just simply looking at it. I love the rest of the Infiniti line too... I can't wait to see what they got up their sleeves for the next FX and Q. *but with that said, it'd be a tough choice between the G37 and BMW 335i coupe

I haven't heard of them coming back out with the Q45, unless you are talking about the QX56. They have done some styling updates on the M, and honestly, it doesn't look nearly as good as it used to.:embarrassed:

Almost every one of our loaners now is an 07 G35 Journey Package Sedan, except for our 3 QX56s. Request an 07 Loaner. Make up some BS about thinking about buying one and you wanting to try it out. I bet they give you one. We do here.

ugh! so, when I pulled into the lot this morning to drop off the FX for this trim replacement job... I looked around at all the loaners... they were ALL the "newer" G's... BUT ONE... guess which car I ended up gettin'? I said to the service guy I'm disappointed cuz I'm curious about the current gen. G's and was really hoping to get one as a loaner... He said something about not having control over who gets what and that I have too much money invested in my FX anyway so if I was to get a newer G as a loaner I may fall in love with it... *lame*

I think eventually they'll bring the Q back... The Lexus LS can use some competition... and perhaps even the Germans. They just have to make sure it'll be a winner and not some... "slapped together design".

That's bullshit, at least here. Each one of our service writers has 6-7 G35 Loaners and one QX56. THEY control who gets what, no one else. They are the ones with the keys to them. I think that guy is full of crap.

You response should have been "Yes I do have a lot of money in it, which is why I was thinking about getting a new G35 as a daily driver."

If they do, they will have to make it in a completely different league than the M. When they came out with the 06 M35/45, sales of the Q45 dropped like a brick in a pool. Before they stopped making it all together, it got to the point where we only had 1 Q45 at the dealership. Everyone was buying Ms. I agree that the big body Lexus does need some Infiniti competition though.

yeah, I think because it's a service with NO money coming out of my pocket... they probably figure'd... "we'll give HIM the older G"

That's retarded. We give our 07s out all the time for warranty work. We still have a few 06s left though. I think they were giving you the short end of the stick.
