What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Tried to fix the fuel gauge problem... Didn't work out the way it suppost to. Nochange in gauge display.... Now the smell of fuel doesn't get out of my nose :(

Yesterday put on the blizzard and rotated Kim's suv. All by myself first time 4 hour later lol. Next time I hope to do it in less than half that time.

Also surprisingly I don't get the TPMS warning on the dash. The psi is not reading anything since the snow tires are not currently registered to the car but it's interesting it's not going off which is nice.

Glad to see you doing this yourself now Jonas:good:
I would imagine your Tire pressure warning light will come on after you put on a few miles.

What I like about Discount Tires stores, that if you buy one set of tires or wheels from them, they will include a lifetime rotations, air check and winter/summer swap for free. I never paid anything to swap between summer and winter setups.

I still prefer to change wheels myself, then I know I will get no damage to my rims and that they are torqued properly.

This is what I have. They have damaged my wheels once I got them to refinish all of them. Now I have a few minor knicks from them. They were torqued to 120+ when I was removing them. I noticed also they marked my snow tires for rotation (because I asked them to) but because they are directional they were marked incorrectly and I know what would have happened is that they would have spotted that and just quickly put whatever tire wherever just to get the direction down instead of making sure the tire rotation was done properly.

Having said ALL of this. The biggest reason why I wanted to start doing it is because of time and the hassle. I don't like having to lug all my tires into my car, then back out, schedule an appointment. Wait there an hour to get done, listen to sales pitches sometimes about how they want to give me a new tire at 5 or 4, etc. Then I need to do the same thing with my wifes car.

I guess, it depends on the store. Mine was pretty good and I've been using them for 6 years in a row.

Not anymore now that you are in Florida!

Yeah I've been to many in Chicago and michigan. Overall they are the best imo but they seem to still screw up enough to make me worry.

Plus don't u have spacers? Discount tires won't touch cars with spacers installed. If they did u must had had someone going against company policy.

Finally after a month and a half to 2 months of searching for winter tires, I found some hankook Ipike RW11 in really great condition. If they didn't have some small rocks stuck in there, I wouldn't have been able to tell they were used. Got them installed last night, and just in time since today we are getting some serious snow fall. Tires and installing/balancing for a grand total of 670$. Difference in driving from all seasons is night and day. I couldn't be happier. Saved myself about 600$ :)
