I've already been on winters for a month, not by necessity, but because I got rid of my wheels...

I've already grown bored of my winter setup...

. It looks so stupid.

Definitely gonna be the last winter on the 18's for winter. The tires are still almost new, so i'll probably be listing some nice winter rubber on OEM 18's next year.

Been thinking about snagging another set of GTR's and trading the rears for some fronts, and running a square set of 9.5's with stretched winter rubber...

You can usually find a used winter tires for cheap, with minimal wear. I bought all my winter sets off Craigslist for 25-30% of the original price.

I tried, in Canada almost no one uses craigslist, we used Kijiji LOTS. But I can't find anything up here that's in good condition. Our winters are LONG, 6 months almost people run winter tires, so even if they are used only one winter they aren't in the best conditions for how much money people want for them. And availability isn't the best for 265/60/18

Myron, definitely keep checking Kijiji. I have sold a few sets of Blizzaks mounted on wheels and usually see lots. I just sold some excellent Blizzaks on alloys that cleared big brakes for an FX in the last year. Where are you located?

I found a few "good" tires mounted on wheels. By good I mean, they say they are good, I haven't checked them out, but no one is gonna say their tires are crap or half used. The thing is they are asking way too much money for them. They over pay at the store for tires plus with all the installation and "shop supplies" charges and when it's time to see they ask ridiculous amounts of $.

oh and I am in Edmonton, Alberta.

Make sure to ask for tread depth and manufacturing date of the tires. I sold mine for $750 for tires alloys and lug nuts in Ontario.

that is cheap, I would have bought that in a heart beat. I don't even care about the wheels, I can use my stock ones as I have someone that can swap them for free. Things are generally cheaper in Ontario, we have to pay "Oil" tax on everything haha. Found a set I liked, in the pictures they looked ok, good price too. Then I asked for tread depth and it was half of what they come with new. I asked how long they were used for, answer was half a season.
Few tires I found mounted on alloys, used to me mounted on FX50 but not OEM wheels are asking 1500-1800$. They don't understand that tires depreciate, and garbage wheels they bought for winter driving are even more garbage after you put them through Alberta winter.
I will keep looking for used, but I am trying to find someone with hookups so maybe I get a new set if the price is right. I'd rather pay 900$ for a new set than 800$ for a "one season old" one.
