What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Thanks meme. I think it is the accumulation of dirt collected from the filter. When I sprayed it with K&N filter cleaner, the dirt oozes out like very old sticky grease. The plenum had some thin coat of brownish deposit but surprisingly cleaner than I expected. I knew I am due for a TB clean. My idle is not rough but I noticed increased tendencies of hesitation when pressing the gas. After the cleaning it, I noticed more responsive and quicker response on the gas.

Other than that, the car is babied, garage kept. The slightest issues, I can't rest easy until fixed or resolved. I am so anal about it that I don't allow anybody eating chips in the car and as much as possible don't want to carry cooked food in the car.

No, but was thinking about this mod for awhile. Do you think it will help or limit deposit build up in the future?

Supposed to help since it will catch blowby instead of allowing it to recirculate through again which is why deposits get left. Problem is getting one installed properly. They don't all have the same effectiveness; where you attach it has an effect, hose diameter has an effect, baffling has an effect, etc. I've got one laying around I'm going to install soon, hopefully it does something. I am much more worried about my other car which is a turbo so there is much more of an issue. Still need to get a can for that car.

I made my own, but it fills up so fast sometimes I think it ends up letting stuff past. Also, there are two spots, so I'm only about 50% effective.

I got back into tuning the Unichip a little the pass couple of days. I have to make a more conservative map for 93 Octane with Plus 2 timing. Rip, the spin you took with my car yesterday was the most aggressive map that I built. I downloaded the night before, but didn't get to really try it out at higher speed until today to and from work on the highway. That map sucks gas like no tomorrow, but heck, its the most aggressive map that I have experienced. I'll leave it in and flip to it when I'm in the mood for some added quickness. Still loving the Unichip.

You should become the IS unichip tuner and get thanked for it :-)) and paid too I guess. I need to install mine. But think I'm gonna order the harness, the direct wiring didn't work for some reason.

Hmm. Perhaps the map is the problem? Let me know I send over a couple maps that I have been playing with and I'm pretty happy with. I tested out a "Peppy Conservative" map this morning and pretty happy with result on the fuel usage. The day before, I had a "Racing Gas Guzzler" map gabbled down about 7 gal in 60 miles, but its a "fun" map.

Just performed the airbag light reset procudeure. Pretty simple and it hasn't turned back on, yet.
Figured I'd do it because it was a flashing light, not a solid light.

According to an old post by Turbo:
"yeah, yesterday I think I was dazed or something, cause I got it the other way around... flashing means there was a problem that set a code but it's NOT current... solid light is current..."

Tomorrow I will be replacing the engine filter, cabin filter, painting my emblems metallic gold.. since the gold chrome has worn out ($6 vs ~$200). Then Saturday my Morimoto bulbs and lens should arrive.

morning gents I still pretty new here and not sure if this is the right place for this question.
I'm at the dealer now getting my module replaced for the interior dome lights. I asked if I can
put led bulbs in replace of the OE bulbs and the service agent said No if I put the led bulbs
In that it would mess up the module agian. Now I just bought the vehicle 3weeks ago so the
Interior lights never worked any way. My FX 35 is a 2010 so the module part is covered under warranty.
So my question is has anyone had any issues with installing the aftermarket led bulbs? Or is this guy
Talking out of the side of his mouth. Meaning is he telling me story's... Any advise and experience would be great.

Thks Erik

A bunch of us have led lights in the interior including myself. I haven't hear any issues with them I also have a first gen but can't imagine that making a difference. He's just trying to play you I would think

I would avoid that "service advisor" if you have to go that same dealer for service. He probably had a turkey butt up this head. I never heard replacing interior incandescent bulbs with LED would cause a problem with the module. Which module?

What module is he even talking about?

As other have said, you can replace your bulbs with LED's no problem, I'd venture as far as saying there is more members on here with LED's then regular bulbs, and I have never heard of any problems.
