Finally got a chance to install the JWT Intake I picked up from FXtion a little while ago. Was running a UTR Z Tube and HKS drop in. It was time to replace the filter so I picked this up for not much more than a new filter. Painted the heat shield black too, the silver was ugly.
Haven't really driven much on it yet, just a quick test drive. But can't tell any difference from drop in filter. Noise is about the same other than a tiny suction sound when you first hit the throttle. Throttle response is about the same. Honestly had I paid full price, I think I would have been disappointed. Nice filter, but chintzy hardware and heat shield. Took forever to mount the heatshield because the design is weird and a ton of adjustment to get it to sit right. Quality wasn't any better than a lot of eBay intakes I've seen (of course the filter is much better). Wasn't expecting any gains so not disappointed there. Just thought JWT would put out something that looked less like a hardware store special.

Good choice !! What kind of bulbs are you getting if i may ask ?? Im leaning towards 6k myself !
Did you install a hover mod?
Just finished the takeda intake install, and ecu reset then took for a test drive and all is good.

that looks nice, how much you pay for it? and what kind of sound does it make>
It came out to $218 but thats with the heat shield without it its $205. I noticed that when I step on it while driving it sounds deeper, might be since I completely removed the stock setup even though before I had the stillen z-tube. I guess it's maybe deeper since is straight air right into the intake plenum.

Tinted the rear hatch and quoter windows with 5% Llumar tint.
