What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I let mine rest all day in the garage, mainly cuz it was clean for the most part and it rained today and I didnt want to wash it again

I was stopped recently for speeding. It was past midnight. I am sporting a plate frame that says: USMC Law Enforcement Foundation and the top border reads the usual "Semper Fidelis"

Cop asked me if I was in the marines. Told him it was given to me by a senior Marine Officer friend during a high level function at the Waldorf Astoria in NY. Speaker was Colin Powell. Cop says drive slow sir and he let me go. I was well behaved the rest of the way ;-)

Full exterior clay, da polish, da seal and wax. Next week is undercarriage and trim.

Oh and I did a full aquapel treatment to all glass.

This weekend is the start of the new sound system install. Updates soon ;

Thanks Andy! Yeah it has the right texture and shine. Hopefully it won't be too dark ;) will see tomorrow. A good trick to make sure it doesn't spray thick is to heat up the can a bit. It sprays super fine like that. ;)

You know what it says gun metal but I think you're right it is more of a graphite ...
 
Nice looking shroud there Dave. Be careful when you reassemble it to the lens. The turn signal halo maybe too thick that it may be a problem. If you look from top of the shroud, if the halo stick pass the upper edge you might have some problem with fitting it back. If that the case, you will have to use some spacer to move the lens out enough so the halo is not touching it.

Btw, what type of adhesive did you use to glue the halo to the shroud ?
