What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

The tint looks great it changes the way your FX looks. I have 5% tint but since the fx windows already come with factory tint in the windows the 5% tint actually makes my front windshield 2% and rear 1%. It's real dark in there people can never know when I wave at them when they wave at me when in driving around.
 
Today I changed out my oil with some mobil 1, couldn't find catro syntec in 5W30 in my area. Yes, I know I got my car 3 days ago and have only driven about 450 miles, and the Hyundai/Honda dealer I bought it from just changed the oil and filter. BUT, I am not confident enough they used the correct oil and I am pretty sure they put too much in. The oil had checked up to the curve on my dipstick and the dealer did provide a check list / bill of what they did. It said they put 7 quarts of oil in it(not sure if that was true or not). So I replaced their "brand X" oil with some good synthetic ;) I don't think 450 miles being overfilled(if in fact it was) caused any damage, but if it did, I have their service departments invoice as evidence. I didn't change the filter as the oil was still like new.

Sidenote, tomorrow I have to go find 4 more screws for the undercarriage as somebody had not put them all back in. Other than the missing bolts, the under carriage and nose where spotless and showed no signs of skidmarks.

Well, I did 15% on the front and hatch and 35% on the rear sides, so its not too dark. Looks really good and is pretty even. If you want to be even more reckless, then tint your windscreen too.
 
im tinting my windhsield with that blue stuff ( less noticable). front windows w/e legal tint is( i think 35%) , then front back to hatch idk thinking 15% on top of oem?
 
Definitely 15% on the hatch. I like the even look all around, that's why I did 15% front and 35% rear. Go for 15% from rear to hatch if you want, it will just be a little off if that doesn't bother you. It's like when I see people tint their rear limo tint and leave the front untinted. :hahaha:
 
yea i know but i dont feel like getting pulled over for illegal tints. its either that or just tint the hatch and the side mini windows and forget about the rear passengers
 
Oh by the way, Walmart has mobil 1 5W30 on sale for $26 for a 5quart jug. Best I have seen in awhile. I gradbed two extra for down the road ;)

Been putting Mobil 1 Extended Performance (yellow jug) in my FX since day 1. Walmart always has the 5 quart jug for $28 here. I use that paired up with $6 genuine Nissan oil filters.
 
I have used Castrol Syntec in most my cars, but it is getting harder to find, especially in my weight and discounted in any manner. Mobil one is my second choice, but I really believe that if you change your oil every 5k miles or less, it really doesn't matter what oil you use(within reason of course).
 
today, I cleaned my air filters under my seat. Easiest thing I have done yet. Actually, I noticed my filter under the passenger seat looked brand new, so I swapped it for my driver seat ;)
 
Replaced my fog lights....from the front.....in 5 min.

Do you mean the whole unit or just the bulbs? If I can do it without taking the bumper off cool.
