What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Just finished installing most of the led's that I bought from sprtfx, man these things are bright! Only ones left are the glove box lights and the bottom of all 4 doors. I took a quick look at them but I don't really know how to take them out, anyone want to help me out?

What did I do today?.. I rented a car in Springfield Ohio, drove across 7 states to Manassa VA , which took about 7.5 hours, inspected, test drove and bought it. Then i drove 8 hours back(DC traffic) put it in my garage and now the fun starts. I did wake up and double checked my garage to make sure it wasn't just a delusionary dream ;)

Congrats!

Sorry for the second post, but as per rules I need to get to 10 post before I can post pics. I just found this site and it by fars seems the best. I wasted my initial write up, pics and 8 hour driving experience on another site ;)

Awesome day mpohio, congratulations on your purchase.

Thanks, Its a 2010 with nav, ac seats and no hideous maple wood accents(no offense, too each his own). I just sold my G35x and had no idea what I wanted. I just knew I needed something bigger. luckily I test drove an FX locally and then the hunt for a sweet deal was on. Didn't get my first choice in color(silver) but I did the get "dark silver " one :top:

It had a few superficial scratches that will easily buff out, so that is what I am going to do to my FX today(tomorrow). I plan to repeat what I did with my G..
1.) clay bar the whole car
2.) immediately buff out the scratchesp
3.) put on at least two coats of various degrees of wax( I snagged a killer buffer last year with a clutch and it does great.
4.) drive the damn thing around town and smile ear to ear

Today, I spent most it driving around, smiling ear to ear and burning as many CDs as I could. I had 150 in my G35x so it will take awhile. I also removed about 1/2 quart of oil as the non-infiniti dealership I got it from, put a little too much. Also in the next day or two, I will replace the unknown oil with some Catrol sytec. I used that in my Boxster and my G and have had no troubles. The two are damn near identicle on the inside(give or take a few options).

So much to do and so little time and it will get worse once I read the majority of the posts on here:wink (2):

Welcome to :iS2: if you get the weathertech liners, you can still use the organizer. Just drill two holes.

I first drove an ex and was like MEH, then I saw the FX and I said... DAMN!! Then I unfortunately drove the FX and was like DAMN(again). I knew I had to have one.

PS, I heard from the dealer that they were dropping the EX line.
