What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

It was a beautiful weekend. Spent over 8 hours each days in my garage working on two Chicago crews FX'es. :smile (2):

:eek.: Andy that's awesome, but, how do you get away with it. My wife has no problem with me working on my rides but she would freak if I spent most of my free time doing it.
So when do you get to spend time with the family? I mean your Family at home not your FX Family :wink (2):

^ Ya it's awesome, but very exhausting thats for sure. We tend to leave him alone during the week days. Well at least the other guys, haha. :hahaha:

I did nothing to my FX, but my FX did something to itself. It decided it wanted to go lower, so the rear coilovers settled a bit lower so there is zero gap=)

I had 4 wheels and tires (maybe extra 300 lbs?) in the cargo area/rear seat and even over bumps I had no rub at that setting?

Well the zero gap looks good=)

Plan on washing polishing and waxing both vehicles and taking the hitch of the FX. Also ordered 10 t10 LEDs. 2 for the LP and the others for the ranger.

Edit: not a good idea to polish in direct sunlight.

Yeah, I will have to take a break from this FX thing this long weekend. :smile (2):

Wow that's crazy. With your wheel design, I was able to stick my hand and the tool to adjust the height. You need to lift the car up a bit with a jack to relief the load though.

Can't wait to see what the Andrews did yesterday.

TapaTalkin'

I'm sure Andrew will post up soon.

I jack it up enough just to have the tire of the floor just to save some time with wheel off & on. Keep in mind that depending on position of the two locking nuts, it might be a bit of work to adjust it with the wheel on though.

ah, yeah i'll just take off the wheel.

lets me double check my torque on my adapter anyways=). I've gotten to a 4 step process on lug tightening now, wheel off ground, brake set (for front at least, rear is locked). hand tighten in star direction. torque to 20 ft-lbs in star direction, then 40 ft-lbs, then 85 ft-lbs. This ensure centering, as not all hub centric rings are 100% snug to the hub, could be off by .1mm and have tiny bit of play.

BTW, I learned from Andy, I waxed and cleaned my barrels again=)
