What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Installed a compbrake Hydralic hanbrake on my Vortech S/C fx35 today ... its not EXACLTY locking the rear wheels completely atm since the wheels are really heavy and i have much smaller brakes in the back :S ... they have ordered a much larger pump from england so i cant wait ... i havenever seen this done bfore on an FX ... does that make me the first? :p

Installed new shocks, struts, H&R Springs, 20mm spring spacers, GTSpec rear tie bar, and rear brake pads.

Only hiccup was the prior owner did not give me the lock for the wheels (thanks to Infiniti of Pleasanton for getting them off at NO CHARGE!) and one broken wheel stud.

Did my friends DTRL swap, hid fogs n 8000k heads.. Then on mine I fixed the fuel level gauge ordeal n swapped the up and downshift on the trip tronic

Looking good. That's a lot of mods in one day :smile (2):

`it was alot of work... started around 10am, finished around 530pm... in the middle there was a trip to the dealer. Turns out one of his fog lenses were cracked and they only sell it by the assembly. So he bought 2 so they matched.. We dicked around alot and took our sweet ass time.. Plus my stupid ass on the way back from the dealer got gas and completely forgot that i needed to have the tank near empty to do the fuel gauge fix.. lets just say it was messy and my car smells like gas :tongue (2):

Is your friend also a member of Infiniti Scene?

i've been trying to get him to join, im sure he will soon but i think for now hes just snooping around as a guest...

i am jealous of his fx45 tho.. he got a '07 w/ sport, tech, tour package in perfect shape w/ 38k miles and i LOVE his interior.. Its two-tone black on a java? (brownish/burgundy type color).. so sick

ive never seen it before but since fell in love with it. i think it goes soo well.. the only thing i would do is get rid of the wood trim on the console and have just brushed alum

the expresso was also on my list when I was buying the fx back in 2006, it was only limited to a FX45 '06-08 (and note the etching SPORTS trims aren't part of this pkg). Not much shown in iS.

Yep, that is Espresso for 45 only and is sick looking in person. Just before I bought my 45, I was looking at Espresso and Brick. I ended up choosing Brick, because it was always my first choice. If the Espresso had a black headliner and matching dash panels in espresso like brick, then I would've flipped a coin to see which interior to get.

At the exhaust shop having my defective muffler replaced. I just revved it a little without the muffler installed and its STILL RASPY! It must be coming from the cats, which is not the answer I wanted at all. Ugh.

Can't agree more with the beige color headliner with black interior. I understand the manufacturer wanted a roomier look and feel, but come on that is mis-match.

Tim, I feel your frustrations. :argh: The right tone just take so much more when you go all out with a custom setup.
