How come you didn't park her out in the back like you always do?
I would love to but I keep deciding on something else instead.Down here in the US we have this little thing called a garage. You should get one! :tongue (2):
Second. Lead acid batteries are weak sauce.
what are the main differences in lead acid batteries? so I'm guessing the good diehards and optimal are not lead acid?
optimas have a higher rate of failures then a normal battery however. google search optima problems/defects and you shall see. Diehard platinum is a gel-cell battery. Not saying they are crap, when they work they work great but when they fail, its done for. People who store cars shouldn't be using Optimas. Its more marketing then superior product. I had one, but it might of been my fault that it failed. I just unhooked postive end for the winter storage, 4 months later. It didn't fire up, didn't respond to a charge. It did show 12v but not much CA/CCA it was 60 degrees so CCA shouldn't matter.
I much rather pay under $100 for a normal diehard with 5 year warranty VS a $150-200 for a Optima red that could crap out. Ive been using diehard gold in the last couple of cars and love their warranty, like craftsman its more like a no questions asked type of deal.
