What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I do love it, but the volume level has become just a liiiiiittle too much for me in the long term. The new muffler sounds almost exactly the same but its way quieter. The real reason for the change though is that I have a new y pipe with a 3" outlet, and my current system is 2.25", including the flowmaster.

Oh. I missed this post. 3" seems optimal . . unless you devise some crazy intake that puts down big power, hehe
Next to go should be the cats . . but it'll get the rasp

I have kinetic hfc's going on at the same time. The intake is stuck in design purgatory for the time being. The first "final" design was quoted at $600 to build at the only machine shop in my area up to the task, so I'm trying to simplify it in ways that don't. affect its performance. I also need the ability to tune (both electrically and intellectually) in order to test it. All of that is in the works. I figure it should be wrapped up sometime around spring 2014. Ha.

Drop off my oem wheels (winter setup) at WheelTech in Highland Park IL a new coat of Hyper Silver paint. I ask for powder coating, they said the Hyper Silver is a paint and then a tricky layer of metallic coat, seal them up and then bake them. I saw the finish product on Chris(FX45Chicago) and love the way it turn out. Chris pointed me to the ChicagoZ forum's GB and got 25% off the total bill. Sweet deal.

sweet! make sure to have before/after shots! :)

nice andy! interested in how this place will do them. post some pics after you get them back if you can

If u gonna use them exclusively as winter setup then it only makes sence to have winter tire on. Still can't wrap my head around the fact that you're using these as winters ;)

Finally got the bumpers back last night. Just finished putting them on. Notice the painted lowers ;)

Yeah the headlights came out yellow and fogs blue. They actually match up pretty good in person. As far as reflectors... Sometimes I like the LEDs in there's and sometimes it looks too much...

Looks good man. I like the reflectors personally. So your head and fog lights look the same in person..?

Pretty much. I was kind of surprised how the pic came out. Kinda gives it a different look. It's iPhone HDR ;)
