What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Doing cabin filter replacement, JLC lights swap(if they work), and hopefully Stillen intake if I can find the correct tool to swap over the MAF.

Yeah, it's some sort of torx. Do all torx have the bump in the middle like this one?

No, I bought a set and it had the center of the screwheads all filled. I had to go out and buy another set that had a hole in the middle so it could accommodate the bump in the middle.

It was annoying to go back and forth from the local hardware store.

My QX4 had torx screws but no bump in the middle, so the other torx set I had was fine. Most MAF torx screws seem to have that bump, maybe extra security?

Security torx, you can just knock the middle pin off or buy a security torx set.

Also, you can take a dremel and create a slot on the head of the screw so you can remove it with a flat head....just replace them with a regular screw after.

Sounds easier said than done Jeff, haha. I think I can find them with the bump though. Just gotta make sure if I buy a set that they have the correct size.

t20 is the size for the 2 screws on the maf
Excellent, thank you! I love having a smaller forum so people see all the threads and answers are so much quicker. I'm still waiting on my350Z and G35driver since I posted in less known threads there.

He sheds a bit, but no drool, no wet nose and no snoring lol... Dobermann's are pretty clean and easy to maintain dogs; you just better know what you're doing to raise a proper one or you'll have issues.

 I had a Doberman 4yrs back. They are good dogs mines was very protective of the house. Very good guard dog.

Well reverse lights worked, can't get the 7443's to work though. That whole having to bend the tabs is kind stupid IMO. Probably where the issue is coming from. Jury's still out on the reverse. I only swapped one for now I can test it later tonight and decide, plus get some comparison pics for you guys. There's also a lot of whining going on while I had the car off, but in reverse. Not sure if that's normal either.

maybe you ran over a squirrel or something...

Haha I wish. I haven't used those sockets in a long time, but I did swap in the old bulbs so I know they work. And would put in one oem bulb with a JLC and only the OEM would light up.

I installed the reverse lights today too. They look brighter, but the LED obviously doesn't hit any of the reflectors so it is not as noticeable during daylight. I will test them out tonight to see how bright they really are. Here are comparison photos in daylight, you can barely notice the JLC LED's at all.
