Still working out the details with the shop and negotiating pricing :wink: Parts list will include shims, springs, lifters, and the Cams. Each lifter needs to be measured individually, first estimate of shop hours was 16-20, springs bumps that and the port/polish does as well......
 
I washed mine and tried a new wax-eagle one gel wax-it was lackluster to say it best. easy to put on--difficult to remove

shined up my wheels and tires with TIRE WET (found a bulk refill size 64oz!!)
 
I watched my FX get hand washed for the first time since last Fall! I felt very accomplished afterward... :tonguey:

Also, I would think trading pics, install tips, lifters needed for S2 VK45DE cams would be a fair trade for a discount on the first after market cams on a VK45DE.
 
Ed - You know you will get the full "how to" list! pretty interesting to see how it will match up to your hypothetical planning. Still out a few months waiting for JWT to grind me up a set of cams......

Yeah, sorry haven't been able to get back to you.

Don't fill the reflectors. Stay DOT legal :rofl:
 
DOT legal - As I in fill the license plate holes in my front bumper and prepare for at least one ticket a year =)

Everyones washing their FX's. Nice =] I took two days to wash my FX. I clay bar everything (that was a pita) waxed 2 times. ( Meguires cleaner wax then meguires tech wax.) Shined all the plastic trims, vacumed, shampoo all the mats and floors, cleaned windows inside out, shined up the dash-doors, and waxed my wheels.

I've neglected the fx the whole winter. Given the FX some love was overdue. =]
