What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

I had a few hours in the FX today to really test out the resonator and it turns out that there is one very specific situation in which I can illicit a decent drone with the new setup. That situation is between 1750-1950 rpms at between about 20-50% throttle. It happened a couple times today while I was cruising uphill at around 30ish mph. Even then it is much quieter than before, and is certainly night and day from the crazy loud 1000-2200rpm drone I had before, but in the interest of full disclosure I should tell you that it is not "completely gone" as I thought and stated yesterday. I'm still extremely happy with the mod. :biggrin:
 
Hitch causing back end to dip

I got my OEM Hitch installed onto my FX45 today. In the box, that hitch was ridiculously heavy. Anyone know how much it weighs? After installation it's caused my back end to dip noticeably. The fender gap is about an inch less than the fronts. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions besides getting stiffer springs? Thanks.

replaced my worn out pirelli scorpions 265 35 22 for some hankook 285 35 22 and with that set up removed my 20mm spacers. just need to get an alignment before I do some riding. noticed some serious camber wear from the bc's but we will see what the specs come to tomorrow and raise the rear accordingly.

I never kid :wink: I do like the docked tail look but sure about Tchuck's "wag mod" idea tho'. I'd still try the body color mod when the "new car fear" wears off......
 
Told Ben at JWT I was down with ordering a set of S2 cams....have to wait for the next batch of VK56's to run to get the group deal :wink:
 
Hah! The cam(s) cost is the cheapest part of the mod (a thousand dollars and a dog turd will buy you cams) and the build order date is still out 2-3 months (group buy ? =)).

EdChedman has bullied me into doing this BTW.
