I have a friend who owns a small muffler shop in town and I was chatting with him a few days ago about how, despite my interior sound insulation, the drone at and below 2.2K rpm is slowly eating away at me. My friend says "a lot of stock resonators are POS. Swing by next week and we'll take a look." Today I happened to drive right by his shop so I stop in and he ends up suggesting a swap, so I replaced my sh!tty stock resonator:

With a slightly less sh!tty aftermarket resonator:

Aaaaaaand my drone is completely gone. It sounds exactly the same at WOT but now there is no drone anywhere and the volume increase is completely linear relative to load+rpm.
It's hard to deduce the scale from those two phone pics but the new unit is cylindrical, about 3.5" in diameter, a little lighter, and about 6" longer than the OEM part. $60 and 13min, out the door. :ninja:
