What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

well whoever put the brakes on last was the man! Man were they tight!! hard a lot of trouble getting them to break loose. Wrench, socket, WD40, cheater bar, hammer, you name it i tried it. The 14mm bolt that goes into the caliper sleeve broke off inside of the sleeve- no way to get it out without drilling it out
I bought a replacement caliper sleeve kit (top and bottom) with 2 bolts for less than $10 at autozone

I'm wondering if the brakes were done before you toche'd them and if the person that did it last cross-threaded the bolt and maybe that's why it broke. Throwing out a guess.

I did it quicker than the diy
just loosened the top 14mm bolt pulled it out, rotated the caliper down away from the rotor, removed both pads from there, pushed the piston in and ere installed. did not remove the caliper bracket from the rotor at all

After last weekends blizzard, I thought it'd be a good idea to invest in a set of winter tires. Blizzak's came in today, installed them on my original 18's. Now waiting for the snow

Yea I washed again yesterday and sure enough, gloomy n misty all day with melting snow due to raised temps for new years. Well at least she was shiny for a few hours in the garage.
Put the 6k Morimotos in today. Already love the look. Just gotta wait a month or two so they can color shift. I was going to put pics up (drivers side with 6k vs passenger 4300k against my garage door but they didn't come out that great and couldn't show the true difference. Very happy with them seeing as I got them for $40 shipped on ebay

Paint-em black and don't look back ! Its nice to see more people on IS get a hold of these wheels. As for rubber I suggest the Dunlop Sports because there sweet.
