What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

The guys at the place are cool. So I'm hoping they will just do it for me.

It's going in the shop next week Friday. I'll get it back same day which is nice. Today has been a day from hell.

I wonder how hard it is to straighten that? Like I said, it's confined to just that area, the top and other side are lined up just fine

I'm confident that, that's what is shifting it up. It's slightly bent on the actual trunk. It just seems like it is coming in contact with then when fully closing causing that to happen.

i had many problems with my car since i owned it like busted radiator wood grain cracking and falling apart, had problem with the gears not shifting on the highway like it was stuck on 4th and etc... i took my car back to the dealership so many times they all know me very well now... i mean the ppl that works there are all friendly but cmon i'm tired of driving a lil loaner car that they have i want to drive my own car! don't get me wrong i love the FX and i think its a sexy beast but its to the point where im just fed up with it

I too have had many problems with my FX. I use to think it would be reliable and unfortunately hasn't been very reliable.

My door wouldn't open just like yours. The dealer had to replace the actuator on the driverside door. Now all is fine.

It's also been in the shop for like 3 days already because the timing cover is leaking motor oil (see other thread) at 53K miles

And I've also had the other problems with the cracking wood (tsb issued), peeling speedometer trim, transmission harsh shifting (tsb issued), brake pedal turning stiff overnight, 3 or 4 batteries.

I understand my FX is no longer new, but it only has 53K miles. Thats not alot of miles for a modern car that carries a reputation for reliability. It's making me question this cars long term quality.

Also I'm wanting a new car badly. Just don't want any debt at the moment. But all these problems are making me want to get rid of it as much as I love it.

On top of it I'm starting to notice the people is service don't give a shit about you unless you just bought a new car from them. When I first bought my FX everyone was so friendly and nice to me. Now everytime I come in they treat me with disrespect and like I'm a nobody. They talk to me rude and nasty too. But the lady coming in with her brand new QX60 is getting treated and talked to real well. Dealers realize if they don't make any money off of you they don't need to give a shit about you. And unfortunately thats the sad truth. If I go walk in there tomorrow and buy a new Q50s, all of a sudden I'll be the customer from heaven and get treated like a God.

Take it to englewood their great

Sounds like a bad dealership. I didn't buy my FX from my local dealer and I've honestly had nothing but good experience. Even with the mods that I've made, I think I get even better service cause their service guys like the car so much.

Redid valve cover gasket seals
Fixed rear engine main seal leak
Fixed fuel gauge filling up and sensors
New front pads
Replaced thermostat and water pump
Got my throttle body cleaned
All done at a shop
