What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Driving to work today I thought I heard a little more noise than normal.

When I got to work I popped the hood and discovered that the oil catch can hose had broken off at the PCV.

Decided to attack a few nit items and ended up spending about three hours in the garage when I got home from work.

Fixed the oil catch can hose by trimming it and clamping it back down to the PCV.

Re-wired the subwoofer and Epicenter bass processor that had stopped working since I laid down dynamat in the trunk. Turns out I wasn't getting power to the Epicenter, but was good with power to the amp. It's nice to have my thump back.

Finally I laid down the last of my second bulk pack of Dynamat in the driver's footwell. I now have a full 72 square feet of Dynamat inside the FX, covering the doors, trunk, front footwells and rear seat and kickplate.

I still want to Dynamat under all six pillars as well.
 
I have my truck restructured by a taxi cab yesterday. Got tboned in an intersection. Haven't gotten an estimate yet but I am guessing:

1) passenger front door skin
2) passenger back door skin
3) pull b pillar
4) rear right wheel moulding
5) misc door hinges

Who knows what else....... Thank you Chicago cab number 3662!
 
Oooooh new avatar.....very nice Stu. Can this be a "what I almost did"? Coming down a very steep hill in Seattle today, soccer mom comes flying by in a Cayenne ALMOST (and it was seriously close) T-boned her......would have been my fault, would have sucked.
 
Installed the sway bar links today!! No more thumping sound!!! The right one was the messed up one.

I ordered the bushings too but they didn't arrive in time.so I'll do that another time. Them nuts were really tied.. We brought out the heavy duty air tools and solved.

I'm thinking of just replacing old suspencion parts with new parts little by little. Maybe all the wheel Hub assembly next..

Washed and waxed Sunday morning :smile (2):. Got a nice door ding after lunch the same day :mad.:. Ridiculous. I always park out in the middle of nowhere, but because my gf gripes about how far i park, I thought it would be nice to park between cars this time. Never again. My pdr guy is making good money from me.
 
I started parking closer because its been crazy hot and my wife hates the heat. But after seeing some lady open (almost slam) her door into another cat without even flinching, I'm back out in the boonies again.

i hang out in the corner with the rs4 and cayenne turbo at work. We have a friendly competition to see who gets in the earliest to take the best spot
 
changed rear brake pads @ 34k miles

fronts were done at 32k

passenger brake pad was down to the metal and really dug into the rotor. Just in time for the rotorpros special...
