What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

The hood sits high once closed. Sits the thickness of the hood above the fender. I posted pics in the group buy thread a while back.

GTSpec or B2Auto never resolved the issue? They left you guys hanging?

And it's not like you can just offload/sell the bar that doesn't fit, that would be unethical.

The bar they sent me was tested fitted on an FX35 in-house. For whatever reason I have this issue. They offered me a refund but I am thinking about getting brackets made locally that are lower proile.
If I were to sell it I would most definitely let a buyer know that if it it does not fit that I would take the bar back for a full refund, I don't do shady business.

Yesterday was able to get the Viper 5704 installed with the smart start app. Big thanks Jonas for cooperating with my repetitive questions for this buy. His purchase finally pushed me over the edge and allowed me to finally impulse buy it.

Haven't had much time to really mess around with it. Have set off the alarm a few times already getting into my car? So need to figure that out. Don't have all the functions down yet by any means. I would agree with Jonas' review in saying that the 5704 and smart start is a borderline extreme excessive. But I wanted to splurge so I went for it. It comes with a remote with a small screen (not color) and an extra remote (same as Jonas has) I will post a few random pictures of the app and remote soon.

i like how you can see the temperature in your car through the remote, however, I am unable to find that feature on the app? Which seems odd to me. Because if you are out of that "mile" range with the remote you don't seem to have the ability to see it on the app. I need to look into it. But so far I am satisfied with it after ...one day

Nice. Is it really necessary? I have been using one as it is.

Its necessary if you want to avoid this:
.
(Im having picture upload issues. Imagine a mangled pinch weld. Necessary - no. I really good idea - yes.)

Oh, I mean the slot you made on the puck. I know what you mean by mangled pinch weld. I do use a puck as a buffer when lift the car. I bet at one time, it was lifted without any buffer in between.

The slot takes the pressure off the pinch weld and puts it where it belongs - on the chassis above the pinch weld. The factory jack has a slot as well for the same reason.
