VQ Throttle Body Spacer Mod

It looks similar.
Hard to tell though, without putting it side by side. Call A dealer & get the part numbers.

So I just installed my custom intake. Are the VQ and VK throttle body's the same??? I ask because to my surprise, the throttle body is 3.00" not 3.50". It goes from 3.00" throttle body, to 3.5" MAF adapter tube.

So who wants to try and see if the bolts match up and the throttle body is the same=)

DaveO was there today at the bbq - and I over heard him and Pierce talking and hes working on something for the 45 - Pierce might want to confirm that - but I dont know if theres enought demand for something like that.

Yes your right Will...Dave said he is trying to work on something for the 45, but no details what it might be as of yet. But knowing DaveO I suspect it will be something similar....simple, inexpensive but effective.

By the way how was the wedding reception? And I know you can't wait to play with your new toy! =)

Does anyone with an FX45 live near Victorville California, or is someone willing to drive their FX45 to my place and allow me to take some measurements?

Dave, can you perhaps do this at the Toy's for Tot's on Dec 2? I'm planning on being there.

First off Dr.2K thanks for supporting the Toys4Tots Charity Car Show!!

As for trying to do the FX45 "discovery" session at the car show... it will be very difficult to do so there. Since Nissan Sport is the major sponsor of the track events on December 1st & 2nd and the car show on December 2nd I'll be real busy on both days.

There's also a second reason. Removing the FX45's engine cover, air intake tube and throttle body to obtain some critical measurements as well as taking a second look at the mechanical fan setup in the middle of a parking lot is not the best idea IMO.

Well I had my TBS put on today ----
Just an FYI for those that have the LMS Ztube - You're gonna have to chop like an inch off of it to get the TBS to fit.

I didnt feel anything. But I only drove like 10-15 mins after I got it put on.
Dr2k said he noticed a lil whizzing sound with it on. I will rip it around tomorrow a lil more.....

alot of wizzing. I love my new wizzzzzzzz :biggrin:. It is a really cool sound. Just got back from Vegass. TBS worked great, but FX kinda hates the high alt. Much better performance at sea level.

I'm just not very happy that I had to chop my LMS Ztube - at this point I'm basically stuck with the TBS cuz if I remove it the ztube is too short.......

It looks and sounds cool Will. Don't fret it none. As long as you are not loosing any power its all good.

Btw, thanks for dinner and the cervesa! Had a good time talking to you tonight. Our team won tonight and i think the beer helped me hit a home run too!

It must of been the cerveza... I bet you were seeing 3 balls and you hit the one on the left...

Good to hear you guys had a good eavening. Wish I could say the same..

Will can't wait to hear your car make that noise.. Hmm?

That's a bummer. I did not have to cut anything, cuz I'm not using a rigid setup. I just pushed the CF tube farther into the accordian piece to accomodate the additional length.

Sounds like it could be in combination with the stillen venturi ring to get the cool ass sound. What are running at the front?
