Have faith brothers.

Sorry for the tardy response - Going back in for tuning to a different shop and dyno. JWT wants to confirm results as they believe there are issue with the data logging that was done by tuner one.

Perhaps a couple pics of Silver on the dyno would be awesome. Have not seen her for quite sometime now!

Update - Planning for another full tune at the new shop, possibly on Thursday this week. Builder/tuner say that the previous shop was only adjusting for idle/low speed, WOT air fuel and slight timing and did not do the full tune process that will maximize the work that has been done. Another round, hopefully this is it.

Yes, I need some inspiration! Like in WWF match where the wrestler pumps his fist while in a submission. Silver Surf is in that submission and the FX crowd is chanting for its victorious return.

WOW!!!! What patience ...... I read originally on .org about the cam upgrade a few years ago and it has always been in the back of my mind ..... just joined IS over the weekend and have not had the time to dig around to see if anyone else had tried this yet. I stumbled on this thread this morning and I admit I have spent a big chunk of my morning reading the roller coaster ride that you have been on for over a year now ....... honestly I was hoping to get to the end and see you posting about how happy your were that you stuck it through and it was all worth it.

I can't even imagine all the money and heartache you have had to go through not to mention not having you DD. :(

The realty of what you have done is momentous and I can see from the IS crew that your work on the VK was time well spent. If you as the pioneer can work through these challenges it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for everyone with the VK45 motor.

I thank you for your 1+ year project and the enormous amount of time that you have devoted to it so you and the rest of us forgotten VK45 drivers can have some real performance gains from our NA rides.

BTW .... PM sent your way with a question .......

Hope to see you finalize this thread soon with good news and GREAT dyno numbers .......

Hah! Had a conversation today with Mr. Turbocad, thinking about locating a second intake manifold and remove mine for testing to help narrow down the potentisl issues.

^^interesting idea, definitely might help out with the diagnosis as to what's going on.

Classic "too many upgrades at one time" and now no way to track the final issue down other than back track. The internals failure was one issue, the TB bore was another, then the cam sensor went bad. A series of known complications but there is still something causing a loss and it can only be a couple of things.....
