VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

Update - Still resolving volumetric mismatch. Latest diagnosis is that cams are off at the crank (possible install issue). Last pull showed LOSS of WHP, JWT said cam alignment would degrade power output similar to what the dyno graphs are reading. Interestingly enough torque is up a fair amount, as the power and torque are off now I wonder what torque will look like when and if they can dial this in.

Hah, both CEO and CFO of company called me out for driving POS cars for over a year and said enough is enough.....I guess my image is suffering? =)

Do not cave lance. Even though that new Prius will be shiny, it's still a company owned Prius. Drive a real beater and be proud!

Thoughts are with you and the surfer Lance, hope they resolve you issues soon. You've earned a ton of respect for your pacients and determination.

Looks like we will have to start up an iS time share program for Lance. You can borrow a members fx for a week until you get the silver surfer back.

Good Luck man!

Ed! Where have you been my brother? Yeah, 332 w/issues, not sure what that means with regards to final output but I am hopeful we can add on another 20-30 lbs when its running correctly. Maybe its close to finsl TQ #'s don't really know yet but the WHP #'s are lower than the before so the assumption is that everything will move up.

Was very pleaed to hear that the porting (intake/heads) is most likely not the culprit for the current issues. When it was done most of the work was removing ex casting/flashing and there was no deep dive material removal. I had thoughts of buying another intake to test etc. One lesson (and really I knew better) add on mods in sections or related groups, don't do it all at one rime as its much more difficult to track down problematic or underperforming parts. Replacing the bored TB was easy (not cheap) and cured a variety of issues, the moment we return to internal work the shit gets crazy again.

Car is being picked up Friday, techs will all study the dyno results and try to make a determination as to what wil be done. Best guess is removing, inspecting and re-instaling the cams.

Fuuuuuuuuuh. Cant they just verify the mechanical timing without removing the cams?

Yeah right? Pretty sure they are scouring the dyno results looking for clues.. Nobody wants to take this apart again just to confirm a hunch.
