VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

Why would the bored tb be more sensitive? Isn't it just your old tb with a larger opening and a bigger butterfly?
 
When its bored two things happen. The valve pin holes change ever so slightly and most potatly the vavle closes in a different position. The ECU sees the valve potentially off axis or cosing incorrectly and tries to compensate forcing it into "limp mode" Andy and Stu experienced this with the 35 TB I had bored first round. Power gain is noticeable the ECU steps in and hoses the system (tech speak).

Man I hope not. El Diablo Negro is third on my list behind selling the second FX and building the new motor, and I don't yet have all the parts for either. I'll be lucky to have everything done by spring.
 
Hah, The latest? For whatever reason the Dakota digital fan controller gave it up and wouldn't drive both fans (only one will run consistently). The tune last week was a fail as it reaches over heat even with their external fan running. New controller arrives Tuesday then its back on the rollers......

Overall they say it runs well and drives fine, I didn't ask about the cold start issue.

The shop also wants to discuss volumetric issues, somehow that doesn't sound promising.

Yeah its inside the drivers side plastic box against the firewall, this time I might pull it inside the cabin.
 
Thanks for asking! Still tuning, runs fine but power output is off, shop is saying it is due to volumetric inefficiencies, JWT is going to be consulted - again.

Living the dream.
