VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

Great news on the new build by JWT!

And as for the chain...I'm the one on the other end of it off screen...

JWT is ordering new buckets and measuring everything out. Getting a brand new engine from what I understand.....

Update - Spoke with Jim Wolf today. After much research it seems that there has been an issue with the spring assembly during each build. During initial start up side loading on the valves has been causing scarring and eventual they fail. Was hoping they might take on the build at JWT but they are under a huge back load of race cars right now. They are building me a prototype engine with LOW miles (one they have used for mockup ups) that Nissan gives them to test with.

The engine can go back together as OE (with all the other bells and whistles I've added) but I have no desire to give up on the cams at this point.

Closer yet not complete and no new due date as of yet.

Damn. What did he suggest? Maybe a less agressive grind? Is it the same valve that keeps failing?
.
It's been a long time in the van, buddy. I feel for you. I'm going to have to come up there soon and take you and Nick out for ice cream.

Nice update, Lance. The patience will really pay off....and Andrew and I can gain a lot of knowledge from your trials and tribulations! :balanced:

Still hoping for a 45 community gain from all this! Said it before and I'm sure I'll end up repeating myself again, this was supposed to be the simple route. Not huge power but reliable power. Seems like the build turned out to be more complex than expected but of course it can be done and these spring assemblies although difficult are not rocket science. JWT has learned, Charles has learned, I HAVE learned.....the time and money I have into this I really would have gone full stroked but there is no crystal ball and had I changed out more gear and the engine imploded the loss would have been greater.

Still missing my car and as goofy as it sounds the day to day thought process of upgrades. Having it offsite and out of mind you tend to refocus. Lately it have been bike parts, House and building remodel, work =) ehhh it is what it is. Still hoping for a finish date on the calendar.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay... although I dont have my 45 anymore I am still following your progress lance! still rooting for ya on your build. I wanna see the BeAsT...
