VK45 –Stage 1 Headers/JWT cams/TB/intake

Tell you what Rich, given any opportunity I'm driving to NYC.

My Transgo was never as form as I would have liked but with no base line I wasn't sure what I should expect. Tim "tchucks" ride had a tight solid shift I never had and over time my Transgo has become a bit less noticeable, the uprev update has brought the "aggressive lunge" back to the shift points.
Tup on your Dyno numbers Lance! This new Uprev trans update sounds very promising.

Thanks Joe. More fun to drive each day, you tend to forget the performance increase(s) until you step on the gas. Obviously it's not crusher power but it's everyday N/A predictable power. Out of curiosity (and after the HFC issue is cleared up and the TB is tuned in) I'd really like to see what a track time looks like.

Nice numbers, a regular fx35 is child's play compared to your NA power house. I'll have to look into the uprev tranny revision.

Ha, thanks Soon, not like your ride is regular by any means. Come to Seattle with Rich, we'll grab a meal and tear it up.

Very nice. Wonder what the TB will do

Hard to say, both Andy and Stu felt it Stu tead a 5hp? Gain on the dyno on the vq so not sure. Test pipes + TB? Each time I drive it I'm reminded of BrD's stTement after red wS running well ( big diffference in power between his ride and mine :)) but he said "it felt lighter" thats the way I would use to describe the SS. If it wasn't as loud as it is it would be a surprise.

Well, I felt a loss really since I was in limp mode haha. Dyno showed around 5 hp and torques post tuning. Hopefully it's not just because my setup was not ideal for OEM TB size, and you can see some gains as well.

. I'll ask the tech what to ask for. When I checked in he asked all the normal basic information, I signed the waiver and he said "oh by the way, Uprev just updated their Nissan/Infiniti tranny data", "it makes the shift points firmer yet smoother" he seemed excited and he is not an excitable guy. I'll vouch for his statement, it made a difference on top of the transgo, not sure if it pushes the shift points or how it interracts with the shift kit.

Sounds like what titan guys call the "lp mod" (line pressure mod)

Basically some tables were created using expected torque values and it allows tranny line pressure to be adjusted under different loads in turn firming up shifts. Don't have enough posts yet to link to some more detailed info.

Is the Tb a 75mm? Anyone have a part #? Anyone have pics of where the harness connects to it?

Thanks guys

Part # 47-60096 sound right?

That looks correct. My off engine unit is at my office I can check it tomorrow, I needed to check the BV on it anyway.

Lancelot, thought you might like seeing this. The guy who tuned my FX has a Titan and made his own headers for it. Guessing you got similar gains.

That's impressive, I bet proportionally that's what my headers did for the 45. 56's rock, Deep down I still wish I'd run the 56 and done it up, they are so performance friendly and the torque is.......epic.

Lance if you ever want to part with that VK56 you have stored away, let me know, I have the perfect project car for it in mind...

God, I can't remember the last time I checked it to see the progress. I've been out of the country for a while and finally back at least in the States. Glad to see the car's running properly and headed in the right direction. Congrats.
