yeah man, I've been dieing for a mill and a lathe for the longest time but no way I could fit a huge bridgeport and I really didn't want some crappy tiny mill, this one is just right size wise for me in that it at least fits in my garage

it's considered 2/3 the size of a full sized bridgeport... now I'm working on hooking up VFD's to these so I have digital speed control at least.
I don't have any good pictures from the nova project yet, heres a few, I'll get better ones when it's done. basically the car is a full blown race car that the guy likes to drive around on the street... it's an 8 second car but when we repainted the car a few years ago we went back to a full steel nose as he wants the stockish look, but at the time the truck lid was left fiberglass and was obviously held on by dezus connectors...
well since he drives it on the street a lot and the car has a small fuel cell, he winds up having to put gas in the damn thing like every hour or 2... a car like this is not measured in mpg it's more like gpm :top: this used to mean either taking the trunk lid off each time, then eventually we built a little trap door so he could fill it woithout taking the trunk lid off, but it looked a bit crappy...
anyway, he now decided that he wants me to redo the fiberglass truck lid but to have it on custom trunk hinges instead of dezus connectors for a more factory body look and the convienience of just opening the trunk instead of removing it each time... car has huge tubs so conventional trunk hinges would never work. I'm building an internal aluminum skin for the trunk and aluminum trunk hinges and mounts... heres a few shots for now...
