turbocad's custom fx

benz, fx, what's the difference as long as you're still doing work. Plus what you learn from one, may help in other installs. So it's all a win-win for everyone.

But seriously though, get back to the FX I know all of us here want to hear the spools :P

yeah man, thanks... since this is bumped up anyway I guess I'll show the buttons I kinda finished. I'm not thrilled with them, there barely good enough that I can at least live with them for now I guess. I really wanted them to come out perfect but I would have to redo them again some day for that. at least they don't look horrible or out of place, for this ride they'll do for now...

Nice work Turbo! They look sweet!
BTW just wanna give props where props are due. Thank you for all your help and knowlege here on IS you should get a salary or something, haha.
But seriously, It's very big of you, and you deserve mad respect, got mine!
Can I call you The Panda Ninja Infiniti Master?

thanks man, happy to help where I can :) here's a few shots of the headers for this thread. the hardest part of the whole header deal is over, the 6 tubes are all welded & re-assembled, everything still lines up perfect so thankfully only minimal warping from all the welding, was worried they would warp enough to be a problem . next is to finish up the merge tips & weld the end on, then mount the waste gates...., getting there :)

Wow, nice job. I did some welding years ago and found a whole new respect for those who can do it well.

Glad to see the welding has progressed quite a bit! All this has pushed me into looking at TIG inverters - 2k later I'll probably be able to play with SS myself :)

I want to see these bad boys installed!!! This is the worst and best thread, worst for the wait/tease of how awesome this is going to be, best because this is going to be full of boost awesomness!

You are just ahead of me.......i saw the Merc projekt and wanted to say.....nice job.....butttt......Now get back to work....!! ( on the FX that is ) :wink (2):

WOW!!! I just finished only the first few pages and cant believe the mods you've done so far. I see why u have your own section here lol

Your work and dedication is just awe inspiring! I look forward to going thru this thread.

I would LOVE some paddle shifters in my FX just not confident enough to tackle it on my own.

Amazing.

hey drew, thanks for your kind words. I wish I had all the time I need to really do everything I would like to do. hopefully I'll get this thing buttoned up and running soon man, it's been a long time since I've driven her :)

My question is, with this pc mod are you be able to use all the factory configuration, like see the wheels pressures and stuff...

Yes cause ur relocating the factory screen, on his case it was relocated overhead where the sunglass holder is, or u can relocate it where the analog clock is... There's a few threads explaining this on here

yeah, thanks guys this thing has been on the backburner for a long time now. I have an old box nova in the shop that I'm doing a lot of custom aluminum work to and once that's done and leaves the FX comes back into my shop and DOESN'T leave until it's running (I hope) :smile (2):

I've been doing some custom aluminum welding projects here and there to get better at welding aluminum, practice practice...

I've also been tooling up... to finish up this FX as well as increase the amount of things I can do myself in general. my home garage is really starting to look like an all out fabrication shop... I recently added a vertical milling machine and a lathe to the mix, eventually I may play around with converting the mill and maybe even the lathe to CNC but for now even a manual mill and lathe is some really cool toys for me, heres a few crappy shots :)
