fyi GTO, most MTB frames are made in China now. My Cannondale and wifes Trek both are in made in China. Welds looks real good though.

Your wife's Trek is at least made in a Trek US owned factory, designed in the US and tested in the US. Sorry for the thread jack, but I manage bike shop.

The wheels and brakes certainly were worth the effort. Well done.

Looking Good John..... wish I could keep up with you.... ha ha..

Definitely have to meet on day... Maybe drive and meet half way... Let's take a week off and leave it all behind...lol

Seriously..

seriously, sounds so tempting... I wish I could... who knows, maybe someday

you got viets brakes? crazy setup there... the 15" rotor with the 8's look really hot...

damn soon, your camera just kills my shots... I look through all of them & I got nothing as good as yours...

yeah man, I was so happy to finally get the wheels on & get to drive it & not have any issues & have it really look right to me... it was a gamble that paid off really well. months of anticipation & not being sure of the final outcome. I mean when I ordered these I couldn't really be sure that they would fit like I wanted them too, couldn't be 100% sure that they wouldn't give me any awd issues, then in taking them all apart that threw any warentee out the window with iforged too... thinking about a 30 series tire on a bigger body like the fx had me nervous, was afraid it might look too jacked up, might look overdone or ricy or like it was trying too hard. might look at it all said & done & say ehh, or just have it not look right to me. then was also afraid that it just might look too sick, was really hoping that I'd be able to look at it & love it

I was really not 100% sure that I would wind up with the look I was picturing... photoshop only helps so much, it can't show you the final stance or the final actual look.

in the end I think it came out looking exactly like I pictured it. the back looks fatter than the front from most angles & the brake/wheel combo just looks hard. it looks real. it looks right... it looks exotic but it don't look overdone. it don't look like it's trying too hard... it just looks right... it's not always easy to get the right look, I'm the type that if I really didn't like them they'd be up for sale the next week ...

from looking at it today & from looking at all the pictures of it, it needs to be dropped a bit more, especially the front. also, surprisingly, I just don't like my current grille with these wheels... not sure why, I figured it should be a nice match like my old wheels, but the less sidewall & the staggered give it a bit more aggressive stance & the grille just doesn't fit it as well anymore.. think the grille might be a bit to dressy for the more aggressive look... maybe it needs to be blacked out & reduce the emblem to normal fx size... donno yet, but it don't fit as well as it did...

John, the chrome lip is definitely the way to go, no doubt about it! Looks HOT!!! The face design is not really my cup of tea but still looks great overall. Well done on it all brotha! Congrats. Oh and yea I agree with you on the look of the grill now.

thanks for all the shots soon... gotta get me one of those dslr's...

these tires really are a lot more traction than the parada's, big difference.. there are some corners that I take kinda fast & punch it & I can always get a bit of a chirp out of the rear tires, get a quick flash of the traction control "slip" light, a studder of the throttle, then continue on my way... with these tires, even pushing it harder & punching it hard, no chirp, no slip light, feels much better glued to the ground & there not even broken in yet.... hard cornering under throttle no slip where it would def slip before... little to no tire screaching when really on it, big difference in handling... now that I got my final color scheme I'm going to paint my braces to match the calipers & get them installed too...

man turbo your car kicks some serious behind, very sporty looking. Can't wait for the HR motor to go in.

time for a new avi...

It really does look good. Agree on the grill. Bit too classy for the new killer look

looks really nice!
I noticed the last two pictures from the back it looks like something is hanging off the bottom.
