Why is that...?? Maybe cause the balast ísn't strong enough for the higher K's or the light difference you mean...?? Cause the last doesn't bother me that much.....al about the looks :glasses:

you loose lumens with higher kelvins bulbs, since daylight is around 4300K.
I replaced my 6000K to 5000K and I can see sooooo much better.
(remember this is not a general lighting thread, its TURBBOCADS)

you'll find that I don't like to promise what I can't deliver, so your not going to catch me giving a definite date that these will be ready until I know for sure that they will be ready on that date... I am very sorry that these have taken as long as they have but life gets in the way sometimes with stuff like this, which is why I never wanted to take any money from anyone & hold no one to anything... right now I look at absolute worse case, the only one who can "loose" big time in this deal is me, I have a lot of money & time invested in these, & if they never got finished then the real big looser here would be me, which is fine, cause I would hate to have anyone else loose anything because of me & my crazy ideas... the other that I feel really bad about is doc, I've had his pair of headlights that he already paid for & shipped to me long ago, & have kept him waiting forever it feels like, I really do appologize to DR2K, looking back on this I should have just finished his & got them out to him instead of having him wait while I engineered all these to come togeather, his are almost done now though...
that being said, they WILL be finished & whoever wants them when there done, first of course is according to the list... if anyone on the list doesn't want them at that point then no problem either , I do realize that the list was locked down at the beginning of febuary & that minds & situations can change in over 4 months, so again, anyone not still wanting them no problems at all...
right now I am pretty close, all of my projector mods are done, ready to go & trimmed & modified to fit these lights, all of my inner aluminum heat/light shrouds & aluminum projector mount brackets are fabricated & ready to go, all of my bezels are trimmed & ready for assembly, all headlight housings are modified to accept the projectors, this is most of the fabrication & engineering that is already done. the only thing left for fabrication is the tiny filler panels that fill the openings around the inner projector shrouds, these are not heavy fabrication, just cutting & fileing 3 little triangles out of bezel material for each headlight, then, all fabrication is finished & assembly can start...
it seemed to be a lot easier to me to do these than it turned out to be... working with disassembling & chopping up almost 20 sets of headlights at the same time has turned out to be quite a project for me & all along I still had so many other things that just came up that took priority over these, I do want them done & over with, but not to the point that I'll just throw them togeather just to get them out. I still need them to be as perfect as I want them to be...
I do know that one of you guys have already sent me the money for these lights even though I really didn't want to take any money, I took it to make it easier for you to pay them off by the time they were done as requested by you. that money is still in my paypal account & if you wanted it back I would send it back right away. I am sorry that I did not realize how long these would take me, but trust me, I have no intensions of misleading anyone & if I had deposits from everyone at this point I'd feel like I was really jerking everyone around, that's the last thing I'd want to do here...
I def want to thank everyone for not busting my balls about these as I feel that no one has, I really do appreciate the respect & the patience on everyones part... I've had others requesting other work from me but I won't take on any other projects till this one is completed, sorry to those that I've just been keep putting off... when these are done I can start to help others out who want paddle shifters, benz mirrors & the other headlight & grille requests & stuff..., anyone who PM'd me requesting other stuff this is why I can't do anything else, till I finish these... I've also had a few setbacks the past few months like my rims & my brakes & my dash that have taken up a lot of my spare time too, but there all done now & I'll do my best to finish these in a timely manor, just going through a few other personal issues too at the moment which has really screwed me up past few weeks too, or doc would have had his lights already...

Turbo, thank you for all the quality work and contribution to IS. Just take it easy with your schedule get your stuff sorted out first and I believe everyone understand that to get good quality stuff does require some more patience and everyone would like to see their headlight done by a happy turbocad. :.smile:

ha, no one is beating me up over these, but believe me, I do beat myself up over these so hard to find the time & I feel like I've been slacking off on them too... I have an awesome design for new paddle shifters that I've been wanting to produce too, but haven't done anything with those till I finish these... but then I have so many things I need to do to my fx too... not enough hours in the day, that's for surebro I'm a perfectionist my self.. so i understand where you coming from.. i seriously think most bussiness should have the same Character when it come to customers.. give the best product you can offer.... thats why most of the guys here havent give you any problems cause they know the ending product will be awesome.. keep it up bro.. i know ill be coming back for more..
my girl saw the dash mod you did to your FX and she was like " i Love the BIG screen , Can you do that to yours too?" lol plus she being buzzing in my ears about the mirrors lights too.. she said thats actually one mod that reflect Safety purpose + the looks is amazing.

Sounds like you've made this your career john. I'm not talking about the lights either, just everything that you do with cars in general. You seem to enjoy & care about what you do and it shows. I really enjoy woodworking but have not made that my career so i just wake up like a zombie and go to work instead =)
Keep doin' what your doin' and take your time, i don't think the guys around here will be charging you late fees for your great craftmanship if they have to wait a little longer.
