These are both the rear brakes, I guess they look bigger in the picture. The bad one is the driver side, second pic is passenger side

:laugh: Oops the lip of the backing plate over the rotor should have been a dead give away. The front backing plate just a straight piece you don't see it from the front!
 
If your pads were new, it most likely your rear caliper pins are sticky / seized which wont allow the brakes to release far enough away from the disc. thats wht happened to mine

Yeah, last year they said it might be sticky.. So they 'cleaned' it and it still made the noise. I even drove it with him in the passenger and he said it was normal.. No way that noise was normal. Now that thr weather has changed, it's back and worse

I just had a multi point inspection done and they said my differential oil needs attention even though I just replaced it. How did they check my differential oil if it's closed and new?

they either didnt do a thing or opened the fill plug and got a sample
 
They probably didn't do anything and just said that it needed attention based on miles. Since you changed yourself, no service record of it. I doubt they actually pulled a sample, but you could ask.

OK so i changed my tpms sensors over from my oem wheels to a set of 21" turbines. One broke during the process so I had to get a new one off eBay. The one I got first was this one

Got that one installed but it didn't read the tire pressure and still presented the light so I got another one that I was assured it would be good which was this one.

Literally got it installed a few minutes ago and it still doesn't read the pressure there and still displays the light on the dash. My question is is do I have to reset the ecu or something?
 
Wow. Thanks. I went to the dealer and got the system reset for $50. Probably didn't even have to switch over my OEM ones and could have just used the ones that came on the wheels. Well you live and learn I guess.
 
Is it or are the drive belts 3 times the price they were half a decade ago?
 
Not really. They went up like everything else, but I don't recall 3 times more though. Keep in mind though on average, belts are longer and thicker nowadays.
 
VDC stands for Vehicle Dynamics Control, it's a system designed to prevent your wheels from slipping or loosing traction. If it detects your wheels to spin too fast without movement it cuts off the throttle and if necessary applies brakes to correct the slipping or/and prevent a car from spinning out. It's a safety feature but you do have an option to turn it off.
