Does anybody with a stock exhaust hear some kind of hissing when acceleration at low rpms?
Basically 1,2, or 3rd gear.

Like you can hear the exhaust note, but there a subtle hissing..
..it's annoying because I feel that it could reduce my power lol
 
Would a vibration sound at higher speeds or more of a whirring sound be a bad wheel bearing because at 50-60 I have a whirring sound up front. Not sure if balance or wheel bearing.
 
yes that can be a bearing, eliminate first by switching ur rear tires up front, then bearings

Actually, the 1st Gen wheels came stock in 3 colors. There is silver, chrome, and in '03 they made a very light bronze/ sand color wheel that matched the sand color of FX. That one wheel was made for only 1 year and was never very popular.

Any polished wheel, black, or color matched is done aftermarket.

my 18s are not polished and look like shit.. can't wait to get wheels for her!!

i.e look at my rims (closer) and my friends further away.. he has polished 20's (not chrome) and mine are just blah non polished, almost looks coated... ///7166[/ATTACH]
 
im looking for new hid bulbs. debating if 5k or 6k.. probably going with the morimotos. really want it white but also provide far output light.
 
Go with 5k if you want the best light output

I went 6k at first, but switched to 5k and I like 5k much more.

yes 5k should be clear white, but sone cheap manufactures have 5500k which hints blue. The best 5k would be osram. Mercedes and all high end run them.
 
On board a flight back to Jersey and hmmmmm can't help but wonder who here is a member of the " Mile Hi " club :rolleyes: ?? That is one ting I've got to be part of before I die ;)

My buddy drove my car and was liek your brakes r weird. feels like you got to push all the way down to grab then little more. i never use to notice it but now it does. i did a brake job on it but didn;t flush lines. think theres air in it or the fx brakes are like that? If i had to word the feeling, it doesn;t seem spongy and bounce back. it jsut seems to go down a bit, then it grabs but no force pushing back against you.
